Start him, but pay attention pre-game and ensure he's actually gonna start.

yeah, lol, looks like Winston was definitely the better play

I still don't trust Jameis on a week to week basis though.

^^ you called me crazy!!!

I started Mahomes. He's been QB1 every damn week so it was incredibly hard to sit him. I also don't trust Winston week to week but I'm wildly happy I started him over Watson this week (easy decision)

not mine either, but the TD that tied the game at 40-40 get him within about 5-6 points of Jameis in my league, so I made that post thinking he might get the ball back.

If Peterman starts, IND. if Anderson gets the start over Peterman then I would change my mind I think.

Agreed.

Need a backup TE and Evan Engram and OJ Howard are both available. Thoughts on the better option?

Howard. He should really be a starting TE in nearly all leagues. He's clearly the #1 TE in Tampa Bay now and they throw plenty. (Just looked, he is the #11 TE in my ppr league averaging 11ppg while Engram is averaging 9)

Engram is injury prone and also likes to drop passes. Plus he plays with a QB who can't complete passes over 5 yards downfield. This is a no brainier.

Engram is going up against the Falcons, who gave up two TDs last week to both OJ Howard and Cameron Brate. Engram doesn't need long passes from Eli to have a good fantasy day, and Cameron Brate will vulture redzone targets from OJ Howard whenever Winston is at the helm. If you're just looking for a one week replacement, I'd take Engram.

I mean, DA hasn't had much action in a few years of being Cam's backup. But I guess an old, rusty DA is still > Peterman

yeah i think DA > Peterman. but yeah...playing IND's D vs BUF shouldn't be contingent on Peterman playing (and he's not, DA is starting). if Peterman was starting it was a slam dunk definite to start IND's D. with DA...yeah you should still probably play them (i am still rolling with them this week) but it's less of a slam dunk, i guess is what i was saying

Ive got Boyd, AJ Green and Funchess starting and im trying to pick between Cam newton and Andy Dalton. Im leaning towards Dalton over Cam since they play a weak KC defense in what is sure to be a shootout, but I'm not sure if I should hedge a little with Cam.

Im also going up against Mahomes

Cincy tends to be very run heavy when Mixon is healthy, and the KC pass defense isn't as bad as you might think. They're 11th in the league at defending #1WRs (68yds/gm) and the best in the league at defending #2WRs (54yds/gm). Where they suck is everywhere else, ranking 24th against other receivers (75yds/gm), 27th against TEs (90yds/gm), and 28th against RBs catching passes (85yds/gm). Mixon will likely have a hell of a game, but I wouldn't risk starting the WR1, WR2 and QB all for the same team going up against KC. You could end up with three players disappointing you while Mixon racks up 200 yards and 2-3 touchdowns. I expect AJ and Boyd to outperform those averages simply due to the lack of a healthy Bernard and Eifert siphoning away opportunities, but it's not the stellar matchup you may think.

If it was purely a Cam vs Dalton consideration, I would consider it a coinflip. But there's no way you're benching AJ Green, and it's hard to bench Boyd as well as he has played lately. If you're not willing to risk three duds if the game script doesn't go your way, then starting Cam is the safer play.

Latavius vs NYJ (Cook is out)
Kerryon vs Mia (Riddick is out)
Ingram vs Val (would be him easy but word is he and Kamara will be get a more even split, ravens are good)

Only one of those? Lat and Kerryon look like they should get tons of opportunities this week, as crazy as the prospect of benching Ingram sounds. Baltimore's defense has only given up one rushing TD to a RB on the year, holding backs to 3.5ypc. The Jets and Dolphins are giving up almost a TD a game on 4.1ypc, and the backs in those games aren't splitting carries. I like the Vikings offense a little bit more, so I'd probably lean Murray.

I feel overly invested in Willie Snead this week in DFS for the revenge game against the saints, but I like the price point. I even have a season long league where I've stacked snead, flacco's, and john brown even though I know it's a dumb idea. I think living in Baltimore is skewing my judgement to where I want to see this game script happen.

I didn't expect Dalton to ruin Mixon's night as bad as he did. He couldn't throw a simple swing pass to the outside. I should have assumed Andy Dalton would suck it up in primetime like usual, but not to that level.

this dalvin cook situation is starting to bother me

reminds me of mccoy earlier this year

10 team league, 100yd bonus and TDs driving the weekly scores, with only 4 bench spots. if something really attractive comes up on the wire i might drop him.

[Edited on October 24, 2018 at 3:37 PM. Reason : i'm in last place so could easily grab him back if needed (if nobody stashes him)]

Cam has been limited FWIW.

Saints D is not as strong as Baltimore I would play Cousins. (Caveat I have Cam on my team and have no other option at the moment as Rivers is on a bye so I am monitoring the injury closely).

Thinking about trading obj (again). Need some rb help for injuries and bye weeks and whatever. Maybe see if I can get Howard and Ridley from one guy, or Sony (or Kenyan Drake or Dalvin cook) with a wr like Chris Godwin (golladay, bcooks probably too expensive?) Keeper league so it'd be good to get at least one potential keeper if not two.. Should I ask for more? Less? One of the other guys he has? Or just straight up for a better rb

Is it a PPR league? If so, you can do better. OBJ is tied for second in the league with receptions

I'm pretty pumped about a trade i just made. I gave cousins and john brown for tyreek hill and jameis winston. Cousins is just sitting on the bench with cam as my starter, so it's basically brown for hill as far as I'm concerned. The other guy isn't a contender so I'm not worried about him making a jump. I just hope hill's groin pull isn't serious

hard to go wrong either way, coin flip I'd say Zuerlein just because mcvay may decide to rest starters which would mean less likelihood of touchdowns and more FG opportunities?

help me get kamara here

My team:

QB Cam
WR Antonio Brown
WR Tyreek Hill
RB CMC
RB Dalvin Cook
TE Jordan Reed
FLEX Tarik Cohen

BN doug martin
BN calvin ridley
BN tyrell williams
BN carlos hyde

other team:
QB flacco
WR brandon cooks
WR josh gordon
RB kamara
RB james white
TE kyle rudolph
FLEX amari cooper

BN stafford, chris thompson, duke johnson, maquise goodwin, mohammed sanu

its a full PPR league, and our keepers are set up to only have a max of two years. Mine are brown and cook from last year, his is kamara, so after this season they'd all go back in the draft if not traded before the deadline on the 10th. We're both tied for first with similar point totals. I'd love to have both kamara and CMC as keepers next year

Pick one plz:

Fitzmagic (v Was) - If he stinks it up early think they'll pull him?
Big Ben (v Car) - I know he always plays hurt, but he looks pretty banged up after Baltimore
Mayfield ( v Atl) - lol
Luck (v Jax)
Mitch (v Det)

I'm contemplating running Fitz over Luck in one league. Fitz has performed better than the other QBs you listed so far this season, and Washington looked like they could be pushed around through the air last week. They also lost both offensive guards last week, which will likely hamper their ability to run the ball. If they can't keep their offense on the field running the clock down, Fitz might have more opportunities to score. Jacksonville isn't an easy matchup for Luck, as they may be able to put pressure on Luck and may be getting their running game back.

The only consistent receiver Mayfield has is Landry. Njoku and Duke Johnson can completely disappear from games at times for no apparent reason.

I can't bring myself to put Trubisky in a lineup. Between being a Tarheel and looking like utter garbage when you actually watch him, I just can't do it. He's produced though, especially on the ground where Detroit has struggled.

A healthy Ben is probably the best pick, but it's a short week for him to recover from getting beat up and Carolina has historically done well in primetime games. I'd hate to take the risk on him and regret it for the next 4 days.

TLDR - Assuming Ben is gimpy on a short week, Fitz is first choice, then Luck.

Mayfield played horrendous defenses before with little to show for it. He needed overtime to get 215yds and 2TDs against the Bucs, overtime to get 295/2 against the Raiders, and didn't manage to get much garbage time production against KC or Pittsburgh. The only 300yd game Mayfield has came against Baltimore, in which he got 262yds and a touchdown in regulation and needed overtime for the additional 80 yards passing and 13yds rushing.

^^he's got multiple tds in 3 straight games, and the offense looked decent against the chiefs in the first game since firing hue jackson and that idiot OC they had.

It's either him or trusting Andy Dalton/Blake Bottles/Eli Manning/other shitty options.

Yes, feel free to make assumptions about their offense based on how Baker did in one game against a shitty KC defense playing soft prevent. Both TDs went to Duke Johnson after making the RB coach the OC, and you don't think that hints at a play caller that may be way too predictable once defenses have a week to study game film?
Dalton is likely a safer play, even without AJ Green.
