I hope Kelly McGillis makes an appearance. She certainly hasn't aged as gracefully as Tom Cruise.

I am just super duper, jizz mah pants happy that they brought back Tom Cruise instead of some generic casting replacement/reboot.

Oh, and what the fuck is wrong with you people? They both look fucking great for their age.

There wouldn't be a movie without him

I'm glad he is still a pilot though, and not some instructor for a new generation of pilots with Jayden Smith as the lead role, or some shit.

Hes still clearly gonna be seeing a lot of time in the air, unless this trailer is completely misleading us.

Jester and Viper spent plenty of time in the air, too.

Yeah but they were't heavily featured in the trailers or promos. It definitely looks like this will be a Cruise oriented film.

Eh.

Feels like he'll be an instructor, one of his top cadets will be shot down or killed, and he'll lead the revenge or saving charge.

They'll probably have him and Goose's son fly the final mission together.

Maybe Goose's son hates him for some reason and they have to work through it.

I went back and watched the original last night. It was my first viewing in a looooonnng time.

And damn, I forgot how well the humor worked in this movie.

Also, Anthony Edwards acted his ass off in that film. I was once again disappointed and sad when Goose died. He was such a charming guy.
