Loved Eastbound and Down.

Loved Vice Principals.

Looking forward to this. I have it saved on my DVR but haven't gotten around to watching yet.

I'll keep watching, but the first episode didn't do it for me.

Goodman's many talents seem wasted so far. I love McBride's last two shows, but so far this isn't as good as those for me. Great subject material for sure, but not a great show yet.

Last episode had a big part at Eastland Mall in Charlotte. I like it that Danny McBride's shows are always located in NC.

Yeah, he's been involved in a lot the McBride shows/movies (and observe and report w/ rogen). Either writer, director and/or producer. To my knowledge, only oberve and report wasn't mostly or partly filmed in NC. I think he and McBride met at NC School of Art.

(foot fist way was filmed in concord, tails of a white tail dear hunger (w/ josh brolin) was filmed in NC mountains, some of the eastbound and down scenes were filmed in my middle school)

That wasn't Eastland Mall in Charlotte. Eastland's been closed forever. That was Citadel Mall in Charleston, SC with a sign that said Eastland.

I may be imagining it but it seems like each of the series has a handful of references to various NC stuff? Stuff like Eastland Mall (that Frosh pointed out was not actually Eastland, but they slapped a sign on it) and in Vice Principals they brought up Bojangles a lot which, although is all over the southeast now, started in NC. It's been a few years since I watched Eastbound and Down but I'm pretty sure Kenny Powers' hometown was in Shelby, NC.

Although this is still ultimately a very silly show, it is way more serious than McBride's other two. John Goodman is doing an excellent job.

I forgot how funny this show is. Danny McBride plays the same exact character in everything he is in, which would normally not work, but it is always hilarious.
