That chess scene was ridiculous. Like there's no reason to make up something absurd like that considering all the actual things Nazis did.

i guess they did that because chess is something they reference often, both in dialogue and in the intro.

but yeah, i mostly agree with the criticism they're getting.

just want to say that the twist was not a surprise to me. I figured it out as soon as they showed Grandma meeting Pacino and saying he looked different. I already thought it odd that all the Jewish characters were played by Jewish across except for the main one, and it all clicked at that point.

On the second episode. I found the first kinda hard to get into - didn't pull me in like some pilots, but I'm sticking with it.

I was really enjoying this until the end and then it kind of went off the rails imo. It could have been great on it’s own, no need for silly twists.
