After consecutive race weekends in Daytona, the Cup and Xfinity Series will make the trek to Homestead-Miami Speedway one week later than originally scheduled, rounding out the Florida swing Feb. 27-28. Following the events at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will all head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway as originally planned March 5-7."

Five weekends in a row of racing at Daytona will start with the Roar Before the 24. This year there will be 4 drivers with NASCAR starts competing in DPi at the Rolex 24. Jimmie Johnson and Chase Elliott will be in different cars. A 3rd car will have AJ Allmendinger and Juan Pablo Montoya partnering up with 2 other drivers. Porsche shut down its GTLM teams and moved Earl Bamber to a GTD team full time. He ran 1 NASCAR race in Xfinity last season on the Daytona road course. I think that is it for NASCAR at the 2021 Rolex 24.

A qualifying race for next weekend's Rolex 24 was held today. Chase Elliott's car will start on the overall/DPi pole. AJ Allmendinger and Juan Pablo Montoya start 4th in DPi. Jimmie Johnson's car starts 6th in DPi. There are 7 DPi cars. Austin Dillon's car starts 8th out of 8 in LMP2.

^They try to drive at about 99% throttle, so the BOP will be altered in their favor. I'm pretty sure they are able to detect it electronically though.

agreed. The increased banking along with wider tires and better suspension will mean we'll see more cornering speed and the low hp package already has low straightaway speeds. Unless they open up the engine and run without a rear spoiler it'll be a follow the leader type racing, maybe like indycar pack style with a bunch of guys close together with no one really able to make a move, waiting for a wreck to take out half the field.
