I'm boycotting it over the developer going back on its promise not to subject its workers to crunch during development. 12/8/2020 8:43:39 AM |

Running like hot garbage on consoles from what I hear. I've seen some pretty hilarious gifs, like one where a road sign says "Debug" but if you go into photo mode it shows what it's supposed to. Some people have been like "It's not too bad for me, I've seen people floating in the air but nothing major. This game is amazing!". I remember when people complained about day one patches lol
I'll probably get the GOTY version on PS5 someday 12/10/2020 1:27:05 PM |

I was pretty close to getting it. Watched several streamers play it last night. Ended up waiting due to the bugs. Instead I got the Witcher games as I have never played any of them. Some of those are 70% off on Steam right now. 12/10/2020 2:43:47 PM |

I read an article about NPCs being in T-pose, NPC animations freezing but they keep moving/sliding around the area per the cutscene, cars sinking into the road, etc

It’s been running great for me on stadia.
The original deus ex is one of my favorite games and this plays how I remember that game in my mind’s eye (obviously this is light years more advanced).
I can see how it might not live up to the hype if you don’t like that genre. I actually expected it to be more of an action game like dishonored, but it’s more like mass effect or KOTOR so far. 12/10/2020 11:31:50 PM |

Running it on a computer with a 2080 super. Pretty disappointed in it honestly. Theres nothing revolutionary about it. It doesnt even come close to the hype. The graphics are ok, but assassins creed: origins looks better and runs better and that game is 4 years old. Game is in its 8th year of development and still needs a ton of work and optimization. Pretty crazy 12/13/2020 8:09:50 AM |

On xbox one. Cyberpunk froze on me the other day, and the game stopped. Luckily, it autosaved right before.
Out of curiosity, what kind of dick did you guys design when setting up the game? 12/13/2020 7:09:06 PM |

^^^ It’s googles cloud gaming “console”. The game renders on their cloud and streams to your computer (or if you preordered cyberpunk or subscribe to YouTube tv you can use a free chromecast hardware device). Since your computer is just playing back video it basically runs on any device at equivalent qualities. Even works on iPhone android and iPad.
I’ve tried psnow and I’ve tried onlive back on the days (other cloud based services) and only stadia has worked without noticeable latency. If you have a 4K tv you can get 4K quality too.
Just like PlayStation or Xbox, you have to buy the game for stadia and it only runs on stadia. But there’s zero time waiting for downloads, games start instantly, no updates, you can play on any device... I’ve found it a very compelling service overall, and has been running cyberpunk great. 12/19/2020 3:06:44 PM |

I’m about 20 hours in and I like the game far more than my previous post. Each story mission so far has been a complete story arch, the characters feel deep, the world has enormous amount of detail, at least once per gaming session there’s a scene that leaves me in awe. The way they integrated Keanu’s character has been phenomenal.
The biggest issue to me is the driving— it definitely doesn’t have the physics of gta, the driving is barely competent and clearly just designed to get you from point a to b. I think the balance of the weapons system is a little off. I originally started out playing on hard but no weapon would kill anyone it seemed like. I switched to standard and it was tough at first but around level 9 or so my weapons just feel overpowered— but it could be because I haven’t done any sneaking and have put to levels into sneak. Sniper rifle can easily clear a whole field of high level enemies too, I could see them rebalancing some of the weapons in a patch.
But it’s clear they’ve put an enormous effort into art and story and acting and if you play the game now for a great rpg story I think you’ll enjoy it. If you’re looking for a true gta type sandbox, they have some work to do there. 12/19/2020 3:13:04 PM |
