I think the expectation is for Wilson to go pro. I’d guess thomas probably has the least pro potential given his size. And he’s a sophomore (junior really, but extra from covid). So I’d fully expect thomas back.

We have a TO margin of +6 (tied for 18th in country, 2nd in ACC).

Only 6 turnovers lost on the season (tied for 5th fewest in country, 1st in ACC). 3 fumbles, 3 INTs (one being the infamous jump pass vs Miss State). We’ve done a great job taking care of the ball. We aren’t necessarily forcing tons of turnovers but pretty amazing how well we’re taking care of the ball.

Those stats would be even better in ACC play. All 3 of our INTs came vs USF and Miss State. And a fumble lost vs Miss State.

CFB rankings are such a crock of shit. Preseason especially (they shouldn't exist until week 3).

I don't necessarily think we deserve to be ranked, but it's a bit odd to be dropped 9 spots after a tight loss (to a team that's possibly better than everyone though...though also not as good as everyone thought preseason - #14), and then after a solid win not move up.

We went from 18 to 28, Pitt went from 17 to 26. At least that's semi consistent!

Two biggest wtfs are Fresno, went from 0 votes to 25th for beating former #21, and La-La that had about the same votes as us last week but beating a 2-6 Texas st is better then beating a 4-4 Lou I guess...

Crazy that Penn st is still ranked after losing to Illinois and 3 in a row.

We will need the turnover battle with Wake. also need to get to the QB. Hartman and those WR for Wake have beat some DBs/S deep, and that is probably our biggest weakness.

I'm pumped for the Wake Forest game. Only the second time both teams have been ranked coming into the game, which is crazy since we've played every year since 1910....

Also disappointed but not surprised College GameDay chose a basically-random $€¢ game over arguably one of the most historic and symbolic rivalries in CFB and a matchup that has huge implications in the ACC race. On the one hand you've got ten decades of traditional college athletics, heritage, and a major conference decider. On the other, you've got a meeting that is the product of playoff expansionism cash grabs and has little impact on the conference or CFP in general unless Bama loses. A better matchup, sure, a better game, probably, but I think Winston-Salem would've been a really interesting place to do it.

Wakes probably gonna score 35 on us. They haven’t scored less than 35 all year. We’re also the best D they’ve faced and they’re the best O we’ve faced. They also are likely the worst D we’ve faced in ACC play.

Gonna need the O to hit explosive plays and maintain drives. Which shouldn’t be an issue against Wake’s D. Just gotta take advantage of opportunities and hopefully force a couple turnovers.
