^^both teams outperformed their xG in that game. I can't find halftime stats but the xG For the whole game was like 1 so it's not like City was bombing out in the first half. And if city outperformed there, that means Liverpool outperformed second half.

Milner should have picked up a second yellow for his foul on Silva(I think) He dangled a leg and made no attempt on ball. It was a clear yellow but Tierney didn't give it, probably due to knowing Milner was on a yellow. Almost every commentator and analyst said it was a yellow card offense.

Yeah, that was bullshit. How far can you go back and call a simple foul? If ball is in play for like 6 minutes and a goal is scored, can they go back 5 minutes looking for a foul to negate the goal?

VAR did help us with the red card later at least (spikes up tackle). And that possession for our 3rd goal was bananas. 3 shots that looked looked like they would be goals; two off the post and then one seemingly saved until goal line technology ruled it crossed the line.

This is going to be interesting to watch. Its obvious Stevie G wants the Pool job once Klopp leaves. AVFC has history but they are an up and down club so this is a high risk/high reward move. If he is successful Liverpool will feel no reservations in bringing him on board as manager. If he fails he could be toiling in unemployment like Frank Lampard is.
