Looking to get my wife lasik for Christmas. Who’s doing good in Raleigh these days?

I remember some commercial about LASIK that i'd hear on the radio (that I always have playing in my garage), and they had "testimonials" from "customers", and one said something like "I think she [doctor] is the best in the Triangle, I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else."

And I'd always think "How could you possibly know know that? Have you had multiple LASIK surgeries at different places around the Triangle?"

And as I typed this, I remember it was Dr. Lori Travers. I have no idea if she's good. But the commercial apparently was effective.

I was pretty happy with Laser Eye Center of Carolinas (LECC). Dr. Dean Dornick.

Had it done 4 years ago.

I used lasik institute. No complaints about 600 cheaper than the best button pusher, flap folder in the area

I have no idea about Raleigh, but I used the Lasik Vision Institute a few years back and did PRK, and I'm pretty sure they have location across the country.

My eyesight/astigmatism were absolutely FUCKED and while the recovery took a good six months and was incredibly painful, I have 20/15 eyesight and have no ragrets. If you can get away with LASIK instead, do it though--it's like a weekend recovery versus several agonizing months since there's a huge difference between peeling back flap of your cornea versus having each of them blasted for 18-20 seconds with a laser and not being able to drive for at least 6 weeks
