Wow you guys suck. Is it that hard to get a serious answer?

I think one of the obvious answers is Leonardo DiCaprio. He has a very wide range and has shown up in so many good movies. I can't think of many, if any bad movies he's been in, and he hasn't been type-cast in any one sort of role.

Charlize Theron has also exhibited quite a bit of range.

^^^Oh wow I had completely forgotten about The Beach.

I'd like to toss Don Cheadle out there as well, although I don't know if he would fit the "our generation" requirement. He can do funny, he can do serious. He can sell hi-fi audio in the afternoon while banging out some 70's porn in the evening.
