There have been some server crashes and intentional or unintentional data loses. Not from full boards being deleted, however. Astute observation. There are secret boards you can't see -- where literally nothing happens. Premium Palace and Old School. Also a secret moderators only forum. We lowlifes can only dream about that.

I knew these guys through my cousin Brandon, who appears in the video. The subject is a guy named Ben. Brandon is one of the dudes who pops out of the stalls, the one in the striped shirt with the close shot of him shaking his head. To the right of him (his left) on screen is his friend Nick. Brandon, Nick, and Ben were in a hardcore band (well, probably a few between them).

The video was conceived and shot by Wes, AKA Underdog, who I think plays the guy in the sunglasses & tie that Ben collides with. I think this was 2004.

^Great background on a classic. I think we've discussed before (a long time ago, possibly by PM), but I went to high school with Brandon and I know his undisclosed (ITT) last name. He was a year older, but we wrestled together (at least for a year, I think) and also took Latin together on the giant satellite dish. Nice guy. Straight edger (at least at that time).

If we did, I don't remember, but that all lines up. He stopped being straight edge sometime around like 2005-2007, not sure exactly when. He owns a home in Sanford now and works as a land surveyor. He's big into foraging and the natural world these days.

We grew up really close, like brothers, and we lived together for a while in & after college. I call him every month or so, helped him move to Sanford, visited once or twice since.

I don't know if you're still friendly with him, but if you've got his number, you should give him a call sometime.

We've essentially had no contact since high school, but not due to any particular problems. I didn't have a cell phone until I was a junior in college, so I never had his number of vice versa. I don't think I even knew he went to NC State until I saw him featured in the above video.
