Not take anything away from it. Because I’m of the opinion that Ohtani is already probably the great baseball player of all time. But one of those HRs was off a position player right? I feel like, without doing any real research, I’d be inclined to put a 4HR game (with HRs all off actual pitchers) ahead of Ohtani’s game last night. But given the 50/50 accomplishment, it’s hard to argue against Ohtani.

I think I'd put a 3 homer, 6 for 6, 2 doubles, 2sb game above a 4 homer game, unless it was like 2 grand slams and like 12 rbi. Or at least there should be some kind of weighted scale

Shawn Green 6/6 with 4 homers has to be up there.

Shawn Green had 19 total bases that game. Otani had 17 with 'only' 3 homers. Nobody is gonna beat Shawn Green for total bases unless they go 5/5 with 5 HR.
