pick a top 3 or 5 and a bottom 3 or 5 or do whatever

personally:

cool: minnesota, north carolina, south carolina, new hampshire, new york, new jersey, vermont
middle: pennsylvania
blah: Connecticut, Florida, Virginia

I especially like how new hampshire and vermont are so different and yet so similar in their identities
When talking about this in the real world I've seen a lot of targeting of alabama/missisippi but I don't care much for that
