Mach ~1.1-1.2

[Edited on February 26, 2024 at 1:17 AM. Reason : 170 in a car, 170 on a bike, 72-73 on a PWC. Not sure on skis.]

Oh forgot about bikes. Is it easier to get to a higher speed on a bike than car?

I would say that on average, fast bikes don't reach the speeds that fast cars do, but they reach 150+ quickly.

Like say for fast car 150mph is like 15 seconds, what is fast bike? Or is 15 sec for fast car 150 way off?

I'll post since no one else is at the moment.

120 mph in a Hyundai Sante Fe on a NM secluded road.
Probably closer to 110 with speedometer calibration. Also, it's a Hyundai.

The fuel cut-off kicked in on my Toyota Pickup at 105 mph. More likely it was 95 mph. I know my speedo is off.

Maybe 70 mph on a Donzi.

Whatever the cruising speed is on a Boeing 737-300/700/800 series. 0.8 Mach 1 ?

RIP your license.

I crack 60 on the Interstate sometimes. In a 65 MPH zone.

I'm not confessing to any crimes I may or may not have committed here such as exceeding the posted speed limits by triple digits.

Years ago, I got my 1997 Z-28 Camaro up to around 135 or 140 mph with the top down on a long and straight country road back east. I like to drive fast, but I rarely hit triple digits and never gotten another car up that fast.

So is like 140 a comfortable bragging speed? I am no daredevil, but some of these folks seem to think anything triple digits is like xxx

The durango is factory limited to 120.
My tires are 9.5% larger than factory.

You can do the math.

Wouldn't that be like the 131.4? His speedo says 120 but tires are 9.5% bigger so 131.4?

Your math is correct, but I'm not sure if his SUV's ECU cuts off the fun at a true 120 or indicated. Probably true, at least based on the wheel speed.
