Spain looking like champs so far, but I would love to see Georgia make a deep run in the tournament.

[Edited on June 27, 2024 at 7:56 PM. Reason : Belgium and the Netherlands are underperforming. Maybe they'll peak in the knockout rounds.]

The Italians have fallen off hard since winning the last Euros. They failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar and they've now exited Euro 2024 in the round of 16.

Proof that America still influences the rest of the world: a "Hawk Tuah" banner is proudly displayed in Dortmund at the England vs. Denmark match.

Maybe I'm biased but seems like if you're having trouble scoring goals you should play one of the best assists man in the world at right back

Pickford went a little crazy towards the end there and started humping the pitch. Not even exaggerating.

Yeah that was really weird considering how badly England played for 94 minutes.

lol they've been playing awful for like 360 mins with maybe 20 mins total of actual good play time this entire tournament. The only reason they have gotten this far is through pure luck. Southgate is completely clueless. Switzerland are gonna win by at least three goals. And this is all coming from an England fan.

Dreadfully dull match between France and Portugal so far. Only five total shots in the first half.

Doesn't help that Portugal coach is last person in the world to realize Ronaldo is washed

[Edited on July 5, 2024 at 7:58 PM. Reason : They don't even pretend to enforce the forward momentum rule on penalties]

[Edited on July 5, 2024 at 8:01 PM. Reason : I guess thats not a rule anymore ]

Heck of a season for Cole Palmer. Young Player of the Year in the Prem, assist in the Euro semi, and goal in the Euro final.

He had a heck of season for sure.

However, England's failures will come back to Southgate's stubborness. It was obvious that Foden and Rice will never be successful in his system. He does not use their strengths at all, his system favors Palmer's style yet he was only a super sub.

Will be interesting to see if Southgate stays on through 2026 or they try to bring someone else in. The English squad is uber talented with the right mix of youth and veterans, but I think some players who are probably rated higher in their clubs do not fit his system yet you can't sit them or the British press will crucify you.

Told ya, lol.

Southgate resigned earlier today btw. I will appreciate what he did for the team and country as a whole. Despite the lackluster performance in this tournament, it is in a way better position than when he came in after Euro 2016. He did a good job uniting the team. Just need someone less stubborn now.
