Still think this is Arsenal's year. Gritty performance without their starting central midfield at Spurs. Plus with the FA hearing starting this week if they get found guilty hard to imagine no points deduction associated with it. Still a big if, since the Qatari's have unlimited amounts of money and soccer is rife with corrupt officials.

No late Gundog magic tonight despite two close-range chances. Nil-nil finish.

I told my buddy to parlay the 3 big favorites. Figures the one time I kinda have something in it for City, they lay an egg

Wild game. I thought it would be more like a 0-0 draw!

Haaland finally shows up for a big match. City still on course to become Invincibles.

Huge loss for city. This column put Rodri as top player in the league.

bad times with that last second score, but I think Arsenal has what it takes to get to the top spot.

Losing Rodri hurts, but I trust that Pep will work his usual magic.

Quote :
"A Rodri-less City, based on this small sample size dating back to last year, win 63 per cent of their games, compared to 76 per cent when he is present from the start."

Last season that would have dropped you from 1st to 3rd

I think Liverpool and Arsenal would be thrilled to see city win 13% fewer games

Pep will learn from the mistakes in those games and adapt and maybe add a replacement in January.

City better hope that Arsenal and Liverpool don't take advantage of Rodri's absence, it won't be a matter of Pep adapting, Rodri does so much for City he is a huge loss.

Pep just casually going to the window to find a replacement for the best player in Europe.

We've weathered storms without KDB several times. You should know by now not to doubt Pep or Man City's resolve.

City's arrogance will ultimately be their undoing. KDB is good in attack but that team runs through Rodri their absences are not the same. Also Arsenal and Liverpool are not the same and have made improvements. If Arsenal can stop kicking the ball away and not get players sent off they may very well have won at the Etihad.

So you expect Arsenal to stop doing Arsenal things when the going gets tough? For whatever it's worth, the Opta supercomputer still likes City's chances of winning the league.

Quote :
"But not Opta. Despite Rodri's injury, they still offer Man City a resounding 79.2% chance of lifting the title come May, with their rivals Arsenal handed just a 14.4% chance of disrupting City's dominance. It doesn't read well for Gooners, but it's worth remembering that predictions can change swiftly."

Cole Palmer already has a hat trick in the first 31 minutes. 5 goals between Chelsea and Brighton after 34 minutes.
