Anyone done this? I want to say I heard it is between $1-2 per pound. Getting to that age I will pay for the convenience. I don't have a washer or dryer, apt complex laundry area sucks, so I go to a laundromat. Is it literally anything? Or do they separate the dress shirts/pants out and charge you individually for those? 9/28/2024 10:52:41 PM |

i used to do it when i was in nyc. I just do my own again now, but it was super helpful at the time. especially if you don't have a W/D and can afford it. most places in the burbs it's set up a little different than my experience i reckon but yeah they'll charge differently for dressy or bulky stuff.
[Edited on September 29, 2024 at 11:13 AM. Reason : i say give it a shot. sure as hell beats the laundromat] 9/29/2024 11:12:52 AM |

Finalky gotten to point laundromat is every 3 weeks and every 6th week is everything, but man lugging that shit around sucks. Figure if i did by the pound every 2 or 3 weeks, might be worth it. Kind of want to move but I am in like the best spot all things considered 9/29/2024 12:08:46 PM |

I'm just a simple country bumpkin. Help me understand. How is paying by the pound appreciably different from a laundromat? You have the same amount of laundry. Is this a service that picks up your dirty laundry and drops it back off clean, or you deliver to them and pick up later like a dry cleaner? I'm lost on this fancy city living. 9/29/2024 9:00:52 PM |

I think he's referring to a laundry mat that's located in close proximity to an animal shelter, ie "by the pound" which has nothing to do with the weight of the clothing. 9/29/2024 9:29:04 PM |
