I like e-mail, but I feel like now, as a means of communication, it's become inherently passive aggressive. Whenever I write an e-mail, I feel like I have to tone it down somehow, even when I'm just being straightforward, so I have to pad it with unnecessary niceties. But then, it feels fake. It's an art. And hey, maybe the world needs some more passive aggressiveness.

How has your use of 'email' changed over the years? What's your over-analysis of the state of e-mail?

I've started only sending "A Warm Regard" if I'm not truly feeling multiple regards towards the person at that moment

I treat every form of communication as though I'm yelling at a drive through

two of my HR women who are very nice and semi-chatty IRL are VERY to-the-point bordering on rude in their emails and it throws me way off

I remain your humble servant
