I say we roll with Anae for one more year while closely watching Mike Vick’s coaching debut. If he balls out at Norfolk State, we should hire him as OC. He’d have our guys playing like a bunch of DAWGS instead of this Mickey Mouse product from Anae.

Not sure promoting FAL is akin to not trying to do a good job.

Also Roper was in charge of some pretty decent Duke offenses, but pretty much any offense under Doeren is going to be boring and conservative. I don't care if we hired Andy Reid as OC we still would be boring.

Roper hasn’t been an OC in like 8 years so idk what to expect out of him as a play caller.

But yes the general philosophy is pretty boring and too conservative. We’re also just bad at picking up short yardage when we need it. Conversion rate on 3rd or 4th with 1 yard to go feels abysmal lately. If you’re gonna be boring and conservative you should probably figure out a way to at least pick up a 3rd and 1.

Boring isn’t good but the conservative shit is the worst. I guess they kinda go hand in hand. But we seem to be content to get a small lead and ask our defense to do the rest of the work. And our defense isn’t stocked with NFL players like it has been at times in the past.

This year was just really weird. We went out and got waters - a guy who had proven he could run and break tackles and whatnot - and then proceeded to just not use him like that. It's like anae's version of conservative was shovel passes to a wr rather than running the fuckin ball

???? The co-coordinators were a guy who had been a co-coordinator for one year at Vanderbilt (and was bad at it) and a guy who was demoted from OC and then fired at Syracuse for being bad. I don't think this is similar at all.
