Ripken’s owners should partner up with Savage Wolves NIL and sell small vials of Ripken’s ashes to generate some big NIL $$$. I bet you could sell them for a couple hundred bucks a pop. We are going to need to scrape together all the money we can to pay for Jeremiah Smith.

We should have people pay money to dress up in a fur suit to go retrieve tees at football games

We’d be able to nab a second stringer from Wake Community College with all of those funds!

Today, we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Ripken, a dog whose paws left an indelible mark not just on the field but on our hearts. Ripken was more than a Bat Dog; he was a loyal friend, a cherished teammate, and a symbol of joy for everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Named after a baseball legend, Ripken carried his name with pride. Day after day, he trotted onto the diamond, a wagging tail and boundless enthusiasm his trademarks. Whether retrieving bats, stealing the spotlight during games, or offering a nuzzle of comfort to a weary player, Ripken had a unique ability to unite us. He reminded us of the simple, pure joy of the game—and of life.

Ripken’s love was unconditional, his spirit unwavering. His sparkling eyes held the wisdom of countless dugout tales, his soft fur carried the scent of sunlit fields, and his bark was a cheer that could lift even the heaviest heart. For players, coaches, and fans alike, Ripken was more than a mascot; he was family.

He taught us lessons we never knew we needed. To greet each day with excitement, to approach every task—no matter how small—with purpose, and to cherish every moment shared with those we love. Through his playful antics and steadfast devotion, Ripken showed us how to be better teammates, better friends, and better humans.

As we say goodbye to our four-legged hero, let us not dwell on the sorrow of his passing but instead celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will forever echo in the crack of a bat, the cheers of a crowd, and the quiet, sacred moments of companionship he gifted to us all.

Ripken, you were truly one of a kind. Though the field may seem a little emptier without you, your spirit will forever run the bases of our hearts. Rest easy, sweet boy. The game will never be the same without you, but we’ll carry your love and light with us always.

Thank you, Ripken, for being our Bat Dog, our inspiration, and our friend. May you find endless fields to roam and countless bats to fetch in the stars above.

Play ball, sweet Ripken. Play ball.
