Doesn't most "maple" syrup that people buy only have like 5% of actual maple syrup in it? I wonder if Canada has a decent share in producing the actual consumer-end product. Otherwise, all that good ol' all-American corn syrup will keep things in order!

I also wonder how big the 100% maple syrup or local maple syrup market is for it to be affected by the supply shock. Will the local operations that you can stop by on the road raise their prices?? I don't think so? But I don't really know... I just ask the questions.

No. Maple syrup is maple syrup. Things labeled as maple-flavored syrup/breakfast syrup/pancake syrup are usually not made with maple syrup but instead with corn syrup because it's cheaper. If you're buying something that is labeled as maple syrup, it's 100% maple syrup (there is a very limited amount of other ingredients allowed in 100% maple syrup but they don't include other sugars.)

Last my militia with close ties to Trump said, we are focusing in Greenland first. After taking it over, we expect you to pool your forces primarily on the eastern side of canada. It is at that point we make a surprise attack in Saskatchewan and shore up everything from Alaska to Washington state. After that theres not too much left before Canadas unconditional surrender. At least thats the gameplan now, will let you know if it changes

This discussion about Canada as the 51st state is infuriating for many reasons, but perhaps most from a geographic sense. How stupid would it be to have one state that's bigger than all the other 50 combined? At minimum, each province should be its own state. We can't have Rhode Island and Canada both being states with some kind of equal weight. Pure, willful, proud ignorance!
