so my obvious factors are

1) somewhat poor diet, can't resist having a can of soda per day
2) genetics
3) work-related stress and depression

what's the best thing(s) I can do? any specifics that you guys can tell me that I could do to help it a little bit? there's basically no way I can cut fattening foods completely out

anyone else on BP meds? my doc wants me to try them. it was like 150 over something today (I feel like the lower number was also slightly more than it should be)

this only started happening maybe less than 2 years ago. so in addition to my brain failing me, now my body is following suit

is it time to pull the plug? (semi-serious comment veiled as a "joke")

Sure you can.

Try a zero calorie seltzer without artificial sweeteners. I like the Food Lion brand lemon-lime seltzer. When cold, it's pretty much a Sprite.

I stopped smoking, but I'm also wondering if I should stop the edible thc stuff

thanks for the suggestion though. I may try some sugarless soda sometime, but I feel like it's all or nothing (sugar-wise) with soda. gotta get that fructose ya dig?

bro like I can't deal with compounded disorders LOL like I ACTUALLY CANNOT HANDLE THIS SHIT

Exercise

Make it a habit of getting your cardio in.
Make it a habit of pushing some weight.

Diet

Reduce your intake of sodium.
Increase your intake of fruits, veggies, and whole grains.

Look BubbleBobble, I'm counting on you to set me up on an ice cream date with your sister. I can't have you checking out before then...

my weight is down, so that's good I guess. I do need to do more cardio though

my sister would love a date I think

ummm I won't discourage it, but.. just remember she is a female in her 40s lol

I'm not saying they're all terrible, but they're all terrible

she's p cool though. and she likes black dudes so it works out well for everyone :3333

and thanks for the tips. I do need more fruits. the only healthy thing I eat on a regular basis is spinach

also salt and sugar are definitely in high consumption here.. well at least sugar. salt intake is probably normal to high-ish

Switch to diet soda and eliminate as much processed sugar as possible. You’ll feel 10x better instantly

Walk on your tip toes with knees bent — it’s free muscle toning and helps reduce blood sugar which lowers blood pressure

Lift weights. Any amount for even 5 minute a day has been shown to have a big impact on health

What? Don't bother with diet soda. Just drop sweetened soda.

ooh ooh I know the answer to this riddle

I had stage 2 hypertension and I now have "ideal" blood pressure

Here's what I did to fix things:

1) Medication from my doctor
2) Lifestyle changes (eat less, lower sodium, intermittent fasting, exercise)
3) Lower my stress
