Are these things really sought after to the point credit cards should be hyping it as a perk? We got any frequent fliers that love some airport lounges?[Edited on December 28, 2025 at 3:13 PM. Reason : Google says its "flyers" when referring to airplane passengers]

Seems pretentious and not worth the price of admission. Can't say I've ever been in one. One of my friends posted from one one time. The free food was like a soup-broth-bar with toppings like chives and dried mushroom pieces.https://flynashville.com/bna_shop/minute-suitesIf I were super tired and had a long layover, I'd probably shell out $65 for an hour of peaceful sleep.

I've been in American Airlines lounges in Charlotte and Toronto as a guest of a colleague who flies a lot more than me. I don't have any kind of status. The only nice benefit is free food, but when I'm traveling for work, I'm on an expense account anyway, so it's all free to me. And I guess cleaner bathrooms, but someone can still go in there and wipe it out.You would think it's a higher class of travelers, and maybe it is, but last time I was in one, there was a very annoying and self-important businessman in there who was having a loud phone conversation that everyone could hear his side of for about 45 minutes. He was either completely oblivious or just an ass who didn't care. It's not something I would prioritize. Everyone is miserable with air travel. Lounges don't change that. Just tough it out like a man.

I have never paid for one outright. But I have had travellers credit cards that get you complimentary admission.
