some people have hundreds of pictures and it takes a while to load them all. would splitting up each individual gallery into seperate pages help cut down on load time? like only allow a certain number of pictures per page? since you guys are all about speed and all..

I like teh m0nky's idea. Multiple pages on the photo galleries would be a nice thing for people like me with more than 500 images...

Captions are nice, but I don't expect to see that anytime soon, if at all.

can I just ask why the heck some people HAVE as many as 500 images? I don't get it. seriously, Jake and Joe should start charging an extra fee for galleries in excess of 100 or 150 images

it might cut down on the repetition in galleries, like the 'whoopty fucking doo' pic, or the
'0\/\/|\|3D' pictures. I know they don't want to be dicks about charging people for a cool service, but tell me, why the heck do you need to store that many pics in your gallery? esp. when half of them are porn or car or 'cliche' pictures - that you can easily link to from someone else's gallery if you want to post it in a thread, or even off the original website

oh and now that LargeEddy is gone, I think we should dismantle his photogallery. over 900 pictures

^^ i think the reason they haven't stopped people from going past 500, is because so many people check that gallery and they get more hits on the website, more advertising, etc.

i would geuss that the extra hits (which may lead to more advertising dollars) to the large photo galleries are outweighed by the cost of storage and wasted bandwidth used for all the pictures, and are therefore, not good for TWW financially

^^ that's actually a good idea. but you would have to make rules on how to add pictures to that gallery, and that gallery would also be huge.

about the repeticious pictures, it would appear that tww only saves one copy of the image and that image is just "mirrored" to other people's gallery's as kind of a virtual file. thats why when you add someone's picture to your gallery it shows up in the middle of your gallery (since the pictures are sorted by date) based upon the time in which they were first uploaded. but this is just a guess, it would seem like the logical way to do it anyway (saves space and allows us all to have our very own copy of the [no] guy at no expsense to disk space).

i like all of my images, I have them to represent who i am as a person. I think that people can get to know me through all of my images. *shrugs* Besides if you use tww to host images for you you get the watermark on your image for advertising.

Yeah multiple photo gallery pages is an absolute MUST. It decreases bandwidth for us when we look at a page with bunches of shitty pictures. Instead of waiting to check the bottom of the page, we could just see the first 20 or so and decide if it's worth looking at the rest of their photo gallery pages. It has to be done dagnabbit!

I like the idea of multiple pages and I can understand the abudance of images. I use the gallery on a regular basis for image linking and it's convenient when talking to friends and stuff. Instead of sending the pictures I just send the url. It's convenient and very cool or J and Joe.
