no, that's lame. you'd have people deleting posts just bc they disagree with what the person says (esp. in something like the soapbox). there would be insane arguments about such a change and the arguments would just get deleted too.

bad idea.

i'd like to be able to edit topic title or delete it altogether within a certain time frame, but beyond that seems like a bad idea

or how about allow certain RULES for each new thread as set by the person who made it
they cant change it AFTER but some things basic
like no vulgarity...or whatever...i dunno how easy that would be

What I'm saying is that I think the whole post should be able to be deleted, not just a single persons post, thats not fair.

None of that would be really effective. If someone could change the topics, it'd look new to the people when it rose to the top and no one would remember posting in it. Also, someone could change it to something like "Post here if you're gay!" from "Who wants free concert tickets?"

Leave everything like it is.

I kinda like the 30 minute delete rule. If you created it, I think you should have the ability to destroy it, and the 30 minute window puts a limit on it.

Also, it could help cut down on the duplicate threads, such as when someone posts some old shockwave movie, and people immediately say OLD.

I think it'd be a cool idea if they could edit the first post like change mistakes in the title or delete if they have second thoughts about it.

Nah, it would only be confusing and a vindictive tactic for people to use when someone posted in their tread that they did not like or agree with...

Alright, a 30 minute delete rule where the posts still count, just are listed as deleted
