Is it possible to set up a temporary forum (in this instance for war-related threads) rather than having several of the existing forums completely crowded with those threads?

I assume marko means something like our Merge Threads function over at B-Boys, whereby mods and admins can splice together multiple threads into a single morass of idiocy.

i saw let the users make as many threads about the war as they want......b/c in a couple of days, it'll get old and they'll move onto something else

thats why i havent touched any of the threads

ah that thread merger is a pretty cool idea, but i could see how it could be confusing when all of the sudden one thread is gone and the posts are moved.

just make a general unofficial rule that says war threads start with: (WAR) so its easy to group them.

I don't know, there's so many different ways people could view the war--with humor in chit chat, technology in tech talk, the garage for vehicles, soap box, etc. that maybe it deserves its own little forum at least temporarily.

Then again, if the war gets its own forum, then so should the next big media event, so it may not be a feasible idea in the long run.

Which is redundant, since that's what TWW is, anyway.

please create a war forum. I'm tired of having 1/3 of the threads be diff aspects of the war

I'm trying to keep away from as much war info as possible, bc hearing about people getting shot at just makes me worry more for my brother's safety.

That's right. Most of the threads in the lounge, chit-chat, soap box, etc are war-realated nowadays.
