Friends of the Library Book Sale

submitted by whiteknight on Wednesday, April 21 2010 at 7:40 PM

Need to stock up for summer reading? Want a bag of treasures for $5? Want a chance to support the Libraries, too?

It's time for the annual book sale on the Brickyard!

Each year for the last twenty years, the Friends of the Library has held a book sale to generate funds to earn that extra edge that makes the Libraries such a great resource for the University. Each event is the culmination of hundreds of hours of work by volunteers from the Friends, the Libraries staff, and others.

Prices are $4 for hardcovers and $2 for paperbacks. At noon on Thursday prices will drop to $2 and $1. Noon on Friday and 9 a.m. - noon on Saturday will bring the traditional “bag of books” sale where it's $5 for a whole bag.

Date Hours
Thursday, April 22 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Friday, April 23 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 24 9:00 a.m.-noon

This year the book sale will become the Frank B. Armstrong Memorial Book Sale to honor the work and the passing of one of the Libraries most devoted supporters. All proceeds go to support the NCSU Libraries.
