CommUnion 2002: Academic Conference

submitted by meeyoww on Monday, February 18 2002 at 10:38 AM

So...you've got the grades. You've landed that killer internship. Your recommendations are solid. So what's the problem? There are several thousand college students and recent graduates in the Triangle *just like you* and all of you are applying to the same graduate schools and/or competing for the same jobs.

Want a chance to stand out from the pack and put the odds in your favor? Come to the CommUnion 2002 Academic Conference, sponsored by Dept. of Communication, CHASS, and Lambda Pi Eta. Submit a paper or project that you've completed to CommUnion by March 15 and present it at our conference on April 1. Participation is something that you can put on your resume or CV. It also shows dedication to your field!

Students from universities from across the state have been invited to attend and participate. Conference will include Dr. Larry Grossberg as the keynote speaker and will also include a silent auction. Don't miss this exciting networking opportunity. The CommUnion planning committee announced today that the submission deadline for the conference has been extended to Friday, March 22 at 5pm. Interested students now have the chance to use the break to finalize their projects and papers, and to work on their presentations.
