submitted by dlwright85 on Sunday, November 28 2004 at 6:56 PM
Band Together for the Cure will be a filmed for reality TV event to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphomia Society on Thursday Dec. 2 at the Longbranch Entertainment Complex. This live music event will have eleven bands and performers for only $10 per person. Every penny from the $10 ticket goes directly back to The Leukemia & Lymphomia Society, the Longbranch has donated the facility and all of the bands/performers have donated their time! With your help we will raise over $30,000 in this one night. It costs one dollar ($1) per second to research a cure for these diseases. Leukemia is the number one killer of children under the age of 15 and Lymphomia is the leading blood cancer for men under the age of 39! We need to sell 3000 tickets for this event by noon Wednesday, Dec.1 and all the help from great organizations will only make this an even better event.
