Well, since you won't be involved, I guess it will just continue to suck. Damn. 2/7/2005 6:59:35 PM |

Though I wouldn't want to speak on behalf of the SMA, I did at one time do a lot of work with them. I think they're just making sure that they hire someone who won't be graduating mid-year. When the head of a publication suddenly leaves, it sometimes really screws over the rest of the year. And by 'sometimes', I mean 'usually'.2/8/2005 8:24:05 AM |

They are looking for somebody with experience that can stay for 1 or more years. You really don't want some numbnut with no experience taking a managerial role over NCSU media. Media can reach any number of people ... and give the right/wrong impression ... you need to make sure somebody responsible/accountable is at the top.

why is this on the front page of TWW? if you have to have been on staff for two full semesters, you would think that they would have better channels to let their OWN staff members know that they're hiring.
And the March 1 meeting being open to the public doesn't hold enough water to be on the front page on its own, especially not 3 weeks beforehand.

the exception to that would be if you're in your last semester about to graduate, so you don't have enough credits left in your program to be "full-time," but you plan on being here next year for grad school as well.]]2/8/2005 10:09:46 AM |

I'd write for Technician if anyone paid attention. And by "write," I mean "rewrite." 2/11/2005 1:19:05 AM |
