It does appear however that WRAL is trying to deflect attention away from this being a basketball issue. Up until this point they have been keeping pretty quiet but they didn't shy away from trumpeting that only 1 basketball player was enrolled and received the standard 3 credit hours.

looks like WRAL might have interpreted it wrong.
The media lawyers and media will get to look at the records but it wont be released to the general public.

I think, from what I've read, is that the Media Lawyers and Butch/UNC Lawyers have to agree on what is personal and what is business. Anything they don't agree on is decided by Judge Manning.

^^ it's still a very questionable conflict of interest. it's somewhat of a win. the problem is that davis still gets to cherry pick the records that get shown. how can the media/etc say what he should be showing them and know for some fact that they do get the correct information? without an unbiased third party, it's not possible (and seeing how the rest of this has played out so far, they'd probably ask swofford to be the freaking arbiter).
