Hmmm....need a camera for this backpacking trip. Know nothing of photography. A decent starter DSLR would be nice but I would imagine anything other than a pocketable point and shoot will become a giant hassle really quickly.

Anyone have any suggestions for decent point and shoot cameras with good image quality and decent options for someone wanting to learn at least a tiny bit about photography?

I had two kittens that lived to be 20. they both died within a month of each other, I think 4 years ago. I still see their shadows out of the corner of my eye when I'm at my parents' house.

and my dogmodel died in November. I miss him every single day, and would give anything to just curl up on the floor with him and kiss his muzzle and his nose and blow into the side of his lips to make him sneeze and give him a belly rub and feel/hear him dream in the middle of the night.

shes at the vet getting fixed and it's weird not having her curled up next to me or trying to chew on my hair. Hopefully her surgery goes well and I can get her at 3. All the other pets around here are asleep and being boring.

Just Tires is such a sham of an operation. I got new tires here a while back so I was in this morning to get my free tire rotation, when the dude comes in and says that I'm going to need new rear brakes real soon. I just got my brakes replaced about six months ago, no way they are worn down that much already. Conveniently, they offer a brake change service.
