Lol, Trump is upset that he wasn't briefed on the EO putting Bannon on the security council. He didn't read it before signing.

The fact that he just lounges around for lunch and after 6:30pm in his robe while obsessively watching CNN absolutely makes me like him more.

He's a low energy masochistic cuck apparently.

That interview last week wasn't the first time she mentioned the "Bowling Green Massacre." She said it was an honest misspeak (and hacks like a guy in this thread believed it) but she talked about it again in an interview days before she said it on air.

She shouldn't be given a platform anymore if she is consistently lying.

i think his post is because she said bowling green massacre in more than one interview, turns out it wasn't just a slip of the tongue in one interview

but its too hard to tell which ridiculous thing he is posting about

What good does an apology do anyway, even if it was an honest to God misspeak, these people, they say these things, get people riled up, then go back hours later and say sorry. But the damage is already done.

Also lol at "his supporter". Funny I don't remember that label being applied to any other shooters when they are all registered democrats.

Like every one of the millions of anti-Trump headlines, there is a 25% chance it is complete bullshit, and 99% chance it is completely exaggerated or misrepresented in someway.

The rule I have learned from TWW is, if a bunch of SJWs post about it, it probably means Trump did something good.

No irony is suggesting Trump gets his statements from a shitty source like InfoWars, based on no evidence, then reporting it (making yourself, in turn, a shitty news source like the WashingtonPost)

^^ military and special ops missions go wrong. It wasn't the presidents fault the last eight years and it isn't now. Period.

What is the president's fault is his constant lying and distorting of everything. This list of undercovered terrorist events is lol-worthy. About the only undercovered one was Quebec! He literally listed Paris as being UNDERcovered.

Furthermore, I'm mostly calling out the hypocrisy of the Republican party and Fox News. For 4 years they pretended that Obama and Hillary were personally responsible for security at 294 embassies, yet now their President has absolutely nothing to do with a military operation he was actually briefed on and authorized.

^^ I suspect that is probably an understatement on how the decision was made, but I hear you.

This is fucking sad. I've see better releases from fucking six year olds. They spelled 'attackers' wrong and even spelled San Bernardino wrong.

what has this administration done for you to give them the benefit of the doubt?

there has been plenty of reporting on when the decision was made and how it was made. it was kind of a big fuck-up.

If it turns out he made the decision to stoke fear of Yemenis to bolster his executive order, then he can and should be held responsible for that. This stuff will def all come back around at election time though...

It would be like if the bin laden raid failed to capture bin laden and we lost people, this would/should have potentially cost Obama a 2nd term (because we didn't need to violate Pakistan airspace to really get bin laden, this was purely for optics).

Well considering we were the last flag flying in Benghazi and many requests for more security were denied, yea that is incompetence, not to mention the lying afterwards. Nobody is expecting Obama and Clinton to personally inspect each embassy, just to not deny and ignore pleas for help when there are obvious warnings.

This is probably not a question for this thread but what is the psychology behind fear of terrorism? Is it mainly a function of not being around a diverse group of people as much? Is it education level (which is correlated with being around a more diverse group of people)? Is it a product of your own situation - meaning the more angry you are at your situation the easier to project fear of others?

I'm genuinely amazed that people are more worried about terrorism in rural and small town areas than in the major metropolitan areas where the chances are higher (though only incrementally in this country as it's just not a likely event).

I doubt the average rural Trump voter is worried about terrorism happening in their small town. I'd imagine [read:hope] they'd cite incidents like 9/11, Boston, San Bernardino, Orlando etc and say they don't want more of that.

As far as the psychology goes, I think it's fair for them to point to the problems Europe is having with terrorism, but basing their fears on those incidents is to completely ignore the vetting we do that they don't. Certainly there's some racism baked into it with some of them, but I don't think it's fair to paint too broadly with that brush given there are other factors at play.

That's fair though there are systematic and geographic differences that will prevent a lot of Europes problems from getting here. Anyway, I don't want to go too far off topic so I'll try and find some stuff offline too. It does play into this, though:

"Per pool, Trump said today "the country’s murder rate is highest it's been in 45-47 years." CC: @SopanDeb"

Really weaponizing fear. The stat last summer was that in some cities the YoY murder rate grew at that he guest rate. It's a lie he keeps repeating to say what he does. We are still at near historic lows.

Quote :
"At a listening session with county sheriffs from around the country, Trump invited the sheriffs seated in the White House’s Roosevelt Room to make a statement while reporters were present. Rockwall County, Texas, Sheriff Harold Eavenson spoke up first to discuss asset forfeiture, a practice by which law enforcement can seize the cash and property of individuals suspected of committing a crime without a guilty verdict.

“On asset forfeiture, we’ve got a state senator in Texas that was talking about introducing legislation to require conviction before we could receive that forfeiture money,” Eavenson said.

“Can you believe that?” Trump interjected.

“And I told him that the cartel would build a monument to him in Mexico if he could get that legislation passed,” the Texas sheriff continued.

“Who is the state senator? Do you want to give his name? We’ll destroy his career,” Trump replied, presumably suggesting that the lawmaker would suffer for holding a position contrary to the president’s.

The president’s remark elicited laughter from those gathered in the Roosevelt Room, although the president did not join in."
