the colonnade on cheshire bridge has pretty good southern cooking. but be warned, unless i'm there, you will be the only person under the age of 65. i mean that quite literally.

Steamhouse lounge is a lot of fun too... their new location isnt as cool as their old one in Buckhead but the food and drinks are still really good.

^^^ nice, i should check it out!! i love old-school joints like that. there's a similar place in buckhead, Mckinnon's Louisianne, that is about the same demographic and serves some tastey cajun food...

^^ McKinnon's is really good, great crabcakes

^ no... my fall Saturdays are pretty much taken up exclusively by football.

although I did see a dead body in a wreck on North Ave. last night on my way to Masquerade... totally freaked me out, had to drive by the wreck really slow, looked over and saw something white in the driver's seat, thought it was a deflated airbag draped over the seat but then I noticed an arm and shoulder coming out from underneath it

went to the brick store last night with the gf

just went upstairs and sat at the belgium bar waiting for a table and ended up next to this guy that lived for beer who was discussing beer with another guy

ended up staying there for three hours drinking

i have never tried so many different beers in one sitting

the bourbon was probably a bad idea

the bartenders there really know their stuff

neither of those sounds like the guy i was thinking it may be. my friend's room mate practically lived there and is a beer snob. i figured it may have been him.

next time you're at the brick store, be sure to order the pretzels and mustard. they make their own mustard there, and let me tell you, it is spectacular.

^^what exactly is a supper club?

basically a group of people who get together every other week or so to go out to eat but the restaurants should be places that all (or at least most) of the people have never been to before and the person who gets to pick that week's restaurant rotates around the group... me and a friend of mine were discussing the fact that there are approximately 13,000 restaurants in the Atlanta area but we pretty much stick to the same 6-7... so we came up with it as a way to "force" us to branch out. Its been fun.

First Week we did Rathbun's which I had been to before but no one else had, and it was awesome as usual

last night was week 2 and we did Wisteria. It was alright, but nothing special. Best part was walking around that area of Atlanta a bit on a cool night

yeah, if i lived in decatur, it would be tough not to go there every night just because you can try so many different beers

5 miles is a good buffer to keep me from spending too much money

the beer fest is right in downtown Decatur by the courthouse

i went...it's a great time with a lot of good beer (and a lot of meh beer)...live bands, eclectic group of people (i'd guess at least a quarter of the people who went to the fest this weekend were headed to L5P for the halloween parade

yeah, you miss some football, but we were home by 5pm grilling up and catching the 2nd half of the 3:30 games. only missed a couple of decent games at noon

can anyone recommend a good haircut place? i mean a place where you can ask them to recommend a new style and they won't bitch you out for asking for something besides a #4 high and tight. i generally only get a couple haircuts a year, and they always end up looking like i'm heading off to boot camp when i walk out.

Barron's is where I go usually, won best hair salon in Atlanta, and they can definitely recommend a new cut haha. Lots of hotties there too which doesnt hurt.

Used to go to Junko's, its pretty good too, cheaper, and they can almost always squeeze you in...
http://www.junkohair.com/.

Barron's is pretty pricey, I would go there for the first "new look" effort, and then somewhere else (Junko) for touch ups after that

if you live over by the highlands, i recommend adore http://www.adorehairstudio.com/

go to robbi if you do venture down there - i've been using her for 2 years now and am happy. it is a little pricey, but it's full service and she doesn't use clippers at all. they also have wine and other beverages to enjoy

what amazes me is that this state is so fucked having Palin stump for you is considered a GOOD thing

i wonder if she thought the state was invaded by the russians earlier this year

because knowing you jackasses, you'll either:

1) brag about how you did it last week

-or-

2) trash talk about how it isn't that great anyways

1) Dialog in the Dark at Atlantic Station
2) King Tut Exhibit
3) Titanic Exhibit at the Aquarium
4) Terracotta Warriors at the High Museum
5) Bodies Exhibit back at Atlantic Station

ohhhh, so THIS is what its like to be in the dark. not that i'm taking anything away from the hardships of blind people, but really, is it really worth paying to "not see" what's like.

anyone familiar with the American Junior Golf Association http://www.ajga.org/ - my step-bro just got a job/internship there - based out of braselton so it's a bit outside of atlanta but close enough - sounds like a lot of work for little pay but that's how internships are sometimes
