"i mean, how expensive is it???"

1 apple = $2.00
1 container cubed pineapple = $4.00
1 mango = $6.00
1 bag of tangerines = $7.00
1 honeydew = $20.00
1 watermelon = $40.00

I'd say, too expensive for me to eat

What about japanese fruits? Are they cheaper? are there japanese fruits?

How about bananas, the ultimate cheap fruit? 49 cents a pound here.

bags of frozen berries, peaches, various fruits have become a staple of my diet...taste great year round and aren't that expensive compared to fresh fruit that goes bad quickly

I eat as much fruit as possible but it doesn't last long enough for me to eat it. Raspberries last 5 hours , strawberries, a week, blueberries a week, yadda yadda.

I have fruit almost five times a day but it's all different fruit and limited portion sizes. I wish fruit lasted forever.

used to be none, but lately I've been eating better.

In a typical day, I eat:

1 granny smith apple
1 valencia orange
2 individual sized no sugar added applesauce

Apples are the only fruit that has the patience to not rot before I get around to eating it, so it's the only fresh fruit I buy from the store.

Then I'll get those massive cans of pineapple slices, tropical fruit mix, other kinds of fruit mix, and what not. They almost make an entire meal to themselves, although I don't know if the big canned fruit things have comparable nutritional value to fresh fruit, I'll eat one of those which is about 2-3 servings I'm guessing every few days, so that probably averages out to ~1 serving per day.

peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man, in a factory downtown...

June till now have been having tons of apricots, plums, nectarines, and peaches. Very abundant in the summer, those fruits. Also lots of red and black grapes, and cherries.

Today:

4 nectaries
4 prunes
3 plums
2 pears
1 banana

=

5-6 servings.

From a distance, I read that as porn juice, and so I was like eww Jen drinks sexual fluids

BTW, you said you eat "at least a necterine and a tomato a day" and you also said you eat "eat alot of fruit." That is not apparent from the at least a nectarine and a tomato a day answer! That answer could mean anything from 1 serving to infinite servings

I personally believe that Americans dont eat alot of fruit because some people out there in our nation don't have alot of fruit, and that I believe that our food such as necterines and, The Tomato and everything like such as, and I believe that it should, our food over here in the US should help the US, err should help South Africa, it should help The Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future.

get it now?

duh

I'm just saying you still see that behavior anyways. I'm not paying $5 for some shittastic, flavorless strawberries, especially knowing that I can just drive to my grandfather's and pick my own for free, if I'm patient enough.

...And I'm not the only one. If it's worth eating, it's worth waiting for.

yeah but they taste like bathing sponge.

they are called as the bouncing strawberry. because if you drop them from a height of about 6 inches, they bounce.

have you had REAL STRAWBERRIES IN SEASON AND NOT COMMERCIALLY GROWN BUT FROM A FARM/GARDEN?

if you drop them from 6 inches, not only will they not bounce, but they will bruise enough to start bleeding.

and their juice is RED in color, not the nearly transparent as you find in grocery store strawberries, and so is their flesh BLOOD RED. and needless to say, they taste fucking amazing, sweet and strong flavour. yes, they last only 2 days in the fridge, as opposed to 1 week. and they come in all sorts of irregular shapes, not the perfectly shaped artificial shit you find.

same goes for the stupid commercialization of other fruits. get fruits from someone who grows small amounts without artifical fertilizers, pesticides, etc. you won't believe how amazing some fruits actually taste in their natural unadulterated state.

BTW, Jen, GG

In the past week or two I've been snacking on the following:
- Mott's Apples. The green ones. Not tangy like Granny Smith, but still good.
- Plums. They're good right now. I don't know what brand I bought.
- Jug of Tropicana Pomegranate/Blueberry juice. Not as good as POM wonderful or Naked, but much cheaper. It tastes dull and doesn't have any bite. It's the one on the left:

- Big jug of Tropicana OJ.
- Chiquita Bananas.
