^^^the parts need some use to break in before it develops its peak power, much like a brand new car right off the assembly line.

Barnes are nice, but they are not light.
Probably one of the heaviest factory guns.

Looking for a 12" rail and I am torn. Thought I was going to go with the Rainier Force rail but I just saw Midwest Industries is coming out with a pretty slick looking MLOC 12" rail. I know key mod is the new thing and now MLOC is coming around but it seems to have a lot of support behind it. I don't hang much off my rail in the first place but this would be lighter than the Rainier and price likely similar.

Any thoughts or other suggestions? Not really looking for a quad rail, I really like the smoother ones better.

Not exactly 12", but a general idea of cost weight and other info:
(I made this last year, before keymod and mloc existed, or had become popular)

Good stuff, I need to do that for the current offerings. I wish the new BCM rail was offered in different lengths, 10" is shorter than I want and I don't really want to go past 12".

Not worth it. Would rather just pick from the available 11-12" rails instead of risking messing up an already pricey rail. I think I would be perfectly happy with the two I narrowed it down to thus far, figured I would open it up to discussion since I am going to wait a few weeks to order anyways.

I guess I'm looking at Bodyguard 38 or a model 442 then. I don't know much about revolvers in terms of reliability/durability/caveats across the various manufactures, guess its time to learn!

I just can't bring myself to put a scope on my M1A - it's too much fun to shoot with iron sights.

Messed with one of these today.... Do want... I've never seen a scope with this good of glass, no tunneling or any weirdness transitioning from 4-28 and back.... Seriously I could see how someone could drop $3,300 on this thing.... But really no optic is worth much more than 1k to me... Just not that seriousof a shooter anymore...but I will say it was an eyegasm.

It would have to be on some kind of crazy dmr too like an ar-10 in 6.5-284 so you can have the long and the short of it be worth the money. Otherwise I'd have a fixed power on a bolt gun and a lower fixed power on a semi auto.

Some good sales going on for Memorial Day, hope to see some of the items on my AR build pop up this weekend so I can save some coin. I did pick up a Magpul MBUS Pro set from DSG Arms for $125 (have to register to see the price).

If you guys aren't following Rainier Arms on facebook and you are looking for some AR parts you probably should. They posted a daily deal of their 12" rail today for $120 shipped on their revolvr site. I was real tempted to get it just because it is such a good deal but I am holding out for the new MI rail that is coming out in a few weeks. They have had some other really tempting stuff for sale other days.

In raleigh? they're all about the same to me. Lawmen's, PDHSC, & Davie's are the only ones I remember. I think Fuquay Pawn/Gun & Gold/whatever they call themselves now, was better than all three. Perry's in Wendell is pretty good and have good sales.

No clue on price comparisons right now, though PDHSC always seemed to be high to me.

Lawmen's guys (or at least the guys from a few years back) were dicks, but helpful.
PDHSC - some clerks ok, some think you're wasting their time, and some don't know the fucking law (don't get into a conversation with them if you can help it)
Davie's - never bought from there, people were nice
Perry's - nice people, they tend to watch you like a hawk... if the old man gets your ear, you'll never get it back, but he's cool.
Fuquay - my favorite staff of these stores - no bullshit, knowledgeable, and know their role.

I am thinking of putting a Sunday afternoon shoot together for next weekend. I have a little piece of property 20 minutes down US1. Anyone want to let a few rounds down range?

You would need to bring your own toys and ammo. You can shoot my toys if you bring decent ammo. We will need targets.

Let me know if you want to come. I will PM you more info.

Anyone need a good conceal carry handgun? I've got a Ruger LCP (.380) I could part with for the right price since I mostly carry my Shield 9mm nowadays. Only has about 100 rounds through it and has performed flawlessly. $300 firm, includes about $75 worth of extras including a box of 25 Hornady Critical Defense hollowpoints (90 gr), a good quality leather ITB holster, a DeSantis pocket holster, a Hogue grip sleeve, and Pearce grip extension. Can send pics if needed, but looks exactly like this (below) with the grip sleeve and extension on it. PM me if interested. Will post update when sold so if you don't see an update, it's still for sale.
