Temple is no joke. I watched them score 48 in the second half vs VCU recently.

Assuming/hoping that we get to IU, I like that we played them last year have some experience to draw on from that in developing a game plan and being familiar with their personel. If I remember, we were playing them close and had a late second half drought that ended up being the difference and they won by 9.

this is true actually. the only year he did anything was when dwyane wade dragged his ass to the elite 8. overall he underperforms in the tourney and gott overperforms. neither are hugely above the norm, though like brad stevens (positive) or jamie dixon (negative)

although last year indiana came to play and almost pulled it out against UK

howell can guard zeller if they don't call the game close. leslie has to show up and can guard wadford.
brown will have to play balls to the wall against olidepo. wood is going to have to guard a small guard hulls/ferrell/sheehey the whole game. if we put him on olidepo gmae is over. Same probably for warren. The only way we can go big is if we challenge leslie and put him on olidepo and let warrent get wadford but we will get taken that way.

they basically have 3 woods and zeller. we need 2 of them to have an off night shooting to have a chance.

Indiana is clearly a better team than we are. The numbers don't lie, they are more efficient offensively, much more consistent defensively, and have done it against better competition all year long. However, if you throw out the numbers and just look at how we matchup, it could be worse.

Defensively, the key is Howell being able to keep Zeller away from the basket. The size advantage isn't as pronounced as would it be due to Zeller's alligator arms, and Howell is stronger. He's got a quick first step but is an average athlete otherwise. If Howell can do that while staying out of foul trouble, they become a jump shooting team and we've got a chance. The other option is just rolling the dice and playing some zone, which we have some experience with this year.

We have a size advantage 1-3, and are slightly quicker/more athletic down low. We should be able to score assuming the team that showed up in the first half against Miami stays at home. Leslie could have a big game against either Zeller or Watford, neither of whom are elite defenders. Overall, unless they are lighting up from beyond the arc, we should be able to at least stay in the game.
