If you were going to buy one anyway, I'd say sure. There are some good deals out there for a Titanfall package.

There are 5 games modes (not including the variety pack which randomly rotates through the modes), and Respawn has stated that they're working on other game types which will be automatically patched in without a microtransaction.

15 maps right now, with more planned which will need to be paid for (like CoD)

The game is fun as hell, it's a happy medium between CoD and Halo. Nicely balanced between pilots and Titans.

Also, don't listen to anything BlackJesus will tell you.

If youre only buying an Xbox One to play this game...prepare to be disappointed. Its not the "game changer" I was promised. Its fun....but holy shit Ghost must have been monumentally bad.

The game is really fun, but seems more casual to me than COD. I don't feel as competitive when I play.

I am happy with the X1 for the voice commands alone.

I couldn't care less that you can get a free game and $50 bucks off the console now compared to November. $100 is not really a big deal.

it is more forgiving, but you certainly can be better. i played a Gen8 dude 2 days ago who was straight rolling EVERYONE. he was obnoxiously good.

Yeah I would say it's more accessible in the best way as opposed to just giving lousy players easy ways to kill. It's not a twitch shooter, it's possible to have different play techniques an be successful. If you do dumb things, good players will make you pay for it but just the fact that you play all the time and have better reflexes aren't as huge an advantage.

You'll see a pretty wide variety of weapon configs and play styles since there are multiple, fairly well balanced ways to play which to me is the hallmark of a good multiplayer game.

and despite people hating on the AI, i like that it adds something new to do. in attrition, if I feel like sneaking in the back and killing tons of grunts with my smart pistol...i can do that and be credit to team. when i want to get in the middle hallways with an amped shotgun...that works too.

the only thing that seems somewhat less effective here is true sniping, but i am not crying over that.

We Xbone owners who don't give a eff about $100 are a rarer breed than the hoi polloi that can barely afford the PS4.

I had an absolutely wonderful sniping game on rise where we won because the team was so focused on trying to kill me because for some reason getting sniped makes people go berserk. Nexus is another good map for sniping but most maps stink and you won't score as much as anyone else almost assuredly.
