ive always liked the occassional cigar but i am def. not an everyday smoker. for christmas my girlfriend bought me a humidor with a couple of very nice cigars. how long will they last in a properly maintained humidor? how do i detatch my hygrometer to make sure it is properly calibrated?

its hard to wade through all the info on the internet. any help or general info would be appreciated.
