Im going to make the Granola Bars from the Power Trip episode! I've made them before and they are AWESOME BABY, much better than the POS's you get from the store. 2/19/2007 9:04:47 AM |

I need to start watching that show again. I know they got some of the shows on DVD, but they eventually repeat.
I might have to go to the website to get the recipe. 2/19/2007 9:38:33 AM |

Thanks. The only thing that might turn me off is the wheat germ, but that's probably in all granola bars, so sounds delicious. 2/19/2007 9:45:59 AM |

Actually wheat germ isn't that bad, hell I put it in my oatmeal and cereal. Plus you can hardly taste it and its very healthy for ya. 2/19/2007 10:28:04 AM |

these are awesome, my girl makes them quite well. Except the first batch where:
1 1/2 ounces raw sunflower seeds, approximately 1/2 cup
Alton on the show says leave the seeds on but trust me, you don't want to. It throws off the bar BIGTIME. 2/19/2007 12:19:15 PM |

Thanks, ncsuapex for making another thread - too bad mine died
I got a waffle iron for Christmas, so I can't wait for the waffle episode (The waffle truth) to come on (FEB 21st at 7:00pm). DVR is set. 2/20/2007 11:24:21 AM |

^oops , I meant shells. Sunflower seed shells are gross, the saltiness throws the bar off, and they make you take non stop dumps. 2/20/2007 3:37:01 PM |

hot sauce fried chicken on waffles with maple syrup is ridiculously good
I've made a modified version of the granola recipe a few times...15 minutes is a little too long for toasting the oatmeal and seeds

in PA chicken and waffles is a normal dish
they serve it at school for lunch
it's not fried, it's more like thanksgiving style with gravy on a waffle
and man is it good 2/26/2007 8:34:39 PM |
