^ (1) The main example was from the Democratic Underground:
Quote : | "Democratic Underground, also known as DU, is an online community for Democrats and other progressives. Its membership is restricted by policy to those who are generally supportive of progressive ideals and support Democratic candidates for political office. DU was established on January 20, 2001, the day George W. Bush was inaugurated President.
According to Democratic Underground, as of March 2007, over 101,000 user accounts have been registered and over 28 million messages have been posted. DU publishes articles several days a week and has an online store, a directory of links, and forums where members may post on various topics of interest." |

(2) At this time, I have seven threads on page one of TSB. With all of your apparently superior knowledge, why don't you have even one?
(3) Feel free not to click on this thread if it disturbs you so. 8/3/2007 1:19:41 PM |

because you're an extreme partisan and your clever sophistry panders to the base argumentative nature of the regulars here, by picking one side of a fundamental issue, extracting some selective instance of bias from the other side, and fallaciously presenting it as evidence of a larger conspiracy.
yes, your threads are popular. congratulations.
judging by quantity and quality of replies, you're now second only to salisburyboy

^ (Sigh) So posts one of the most bitter left-wing partisans on this site. Are you denying that the Democratic Underground is a part of the Democrat constituency?
BTW, way to make your lame salisburyboy comparison--yet again--joe_shithead. It's all you have and it's tired.
GG!
PS: Feel free to dazzle us with your "brilliant" threads.

(1) You failed to make any sort of commentary or even quote what you found on the message board, and even then the best thing I can get from it is that a few people made idiotic comments. Big fucking deal.

Bridges and wars are not mutually exclusive when it comes to government spending. Governments must be concerned with a great many areas, simultaneously and continually. 8/4/2007 2:38:46 AM |
joe_schmoe All American 18758 Posts user info edit post |
its trickle-down economics, y'see...
government spends $1,000,000,000,000 on a pet war to settle a failed texas oilman's family feud.
this in turn drives weapons manufacturers to increase production
driving up stock prices of DoD contractors and their OEM vendors and raw material suppliers
which translates into huge capital gains for the members of the various boards of directors and heavily vested family trust funds
which then allows the leisure class to spend more money buying more drinks and extra appetizers at their favorite five star restaurants
whose owner can then afford to upgrade the automated sprinkler system at the adjoining 18 hole golf course for the gated community and country club.
which then puts Julio and Cesar out of work as under-the-table illegal immigrant landscapers
causing them to have to pick up and move their whole illegal immigrant family to California so they can pick spinach.
and their illegal immigrant wives and kids have to leave their day job laboring at the textile mill making feminine sanitary products.
allowing John Boy to get his old job back at decent white-man wages.
so he can afford to take Betty Lou and John Boy Jr. to DisneyLand this year.
and the tax they pay on their increased fuel consumption will add to the transportation fund
which will eventually pay for half-assed structural repairs to the various bridges 20 years after the median expected lifespan has passed.
see? it's simple. 8/4/2007 4:12:19 AM |

Durkastan?
It's Durkistan.
Also, Mitt Romney seems to be a fan of the durkas way of doing things:
Quote : | " Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's endorsement of Hezbollah as a model for US diplomacy represents a "fundamental misunderstanding" of political realities in the Middle East, the head of the National Jewish Democratic Council said. ... At a town hall meeting in Iowa last Friday, Mitt Romney offered an eye-catching twist on his usual stump speech when he held up Hezbollah as a model for the effectiveness of using social services as a way to win hearts and minds" |

Quote : | "The bridge collapse is the result of wasting a trillion dollars in Iraq. Basically what you saw there in Minneapolis and what you've been watching all day, last night, the whole thing.
What you're watching, should have the chyron underneath, instead of it saying Governor Tim Pawlenty, or news conference on bridge collapse, or recovery or whatever, you know what it should say underneath there? 'Your tax cuts at work!' That's what it should say.
Please make a note of it and call CNN and MSNBC, Faux News, yeah call them all and tell them, 'hey, you've got the wrong chyron!'" |

Yes. 100,000 people represents a minority of the Democratic Party, much less left-leaning moderates and independents. This is of course assuming that the 100,000 users are all "left-wing moonbats" as you so describe.
