i could be submarine sandwich mod
1/2/2009 8:45:26 PM
i second this notionexcept I should be the mod
1/2/2009 10:52:00 PM
I, too, eat food.
1/2/2009 11:48:47 PM
I object this motion. It would become overcrowded with people who are convinced they are the next top chef and circle jerk to the big cooking words they use and what exotically named dish they made for a midnight snack.
1/3/2009 3:07:54 AM
^disagree completely...everyone knows half the topics would be vegetarians sucking each other off
1/3/2009 3:13:09 AM

i would be making a thread this second about the new jumbo value meal for $2.99 at jack in the boxamac884 for submarine sandwich mod!
1/4/2009 12:02:27 AM
Make a food forum but with the only sticky on the whole site that says something along the lines, that all food ideas are acceptable and that this is not the west minister school of culinary delights. Or something along those lines.I'll also vote St8 for mod since his seems to have the most enthusiasm for food here.
1/4/2009 11:58:51 AM
we already have The TWW Culinary Institute of Technology ThreadI'm Big Business and i approved this message.
1/4/2009 1:27:33 PM
i think we need more sub-forums.The DYI forum is a great idea as well as a Renters Section and a food sub forum in the lounge for cooks, vegans or those with allergies would be great.i think it would be a nice premie incentive
1/5/2009 8:55:14 AM
agree with ^make it a premie feature
1/5/2009 9:02:06 AM
in my opinion most sub forums (especially if premie only) wouldn't be utilized enough to justify their addition after the novelty wore off in a monthof course since there's basically no admin around to add functionality it's not really worth talking about either heh
1/5/2009 9:21:07 AM
I'm sure qtmnfred could figure something out
1/5/2009 9:21:53 AM
well i think its pathetic to just not do much of anythinghell, as much shit breaks...just having TWW function properly should be a premie incentive.i havent been posting much b/c the site is always broke in some way shape or form.dont get me wrong, Ken has done an amazing job keeping this thing breathing and the light html in the chatter box is awesome too but if you dont grow with the times you will be left behind.i wish someone who really gave a shit about TWW would buy this domain
1/5/2009 10:11:17 AM
I would rather be a mod of "housing, real estate, apartments" section but never volunteered since I know there will not be any sections added.
1/5/2009 11:58:30 PM
i will support the idea and post in it everyday if amac is the mod
1/6/2009 9:27:31 PM
haha, your hungry ass
1/7/2009 5:43:35 PM
pls to make happen
1/8/2009 2:57:10 PM
all the UNC fans would come into that forum and talk shit about NC State being an agricultural college
1/8/2009 5:01:27 PM
There's just too many food threads in chit chat. Food seems to be the most derserving forum to have its own imo. Theres just too much bullshitting in chit chat to hold thoughtful discussion of food, how to prepare it, and what ingredients we all like to use. I also think a lot of people here including myself would use this forum frequently not just to share ideas but to learn new ones as well. I'll switch my vote to amac for submarine sandwich mod if this gets approved.
1/8/2009 5:58:50 PM
why not extend this idea such the users are able to create their own subforums?we could have a handful of static forums, under which users can create related forums. To guard against crappy forums taking up screen space, whenever someone posts in a user-created subforum, it would immediately go to the top of the first page. That way the most popular/useful sub-forums would remain front and center, and the ones that suck would drop down or be relegated to other pages. We could create a search feature so that a user could continue to post in a subforum that fell out of favor, thus bringing it back to the top of the main page. I'd propose a limit on how long an older subforum can remain stale before locking it forever, perhaps 90 days.
1/8/2009 6:11:57 PM
that sounds like it would end up being a clusterfuck.. no offense
1/8/2009 6:36:55 PM
the wheels are in motion
1/8/2009 8:22:31 PM
^^I don't think you saw what I did there.
1/9/2009 11:46:26 AM
^^^ I think he's joking. He basically just described how threads currently work....
1/9/2009 12:34:41 PM

I'll post my vote for a food forum if we can have a lyrics forum too. Im sick and fucking tired of people posting a lyrics thread everyfucking time they hear a fucking song.
1/20/2009 11:52:04 PM
who knows the quality of this forum?
1/21/2009 12:28:46 AM

I love the idea of a Food Forum! Not only can we talk about recipes, how we prepare stuff, and what we like, but we can also talk about restaurants in Raleigh (and elsewhere, but not as relevant). I think it'd be pretty useful and since I became a foodie when living in NYC I totally can see value in this
2/3/2009 1:01:45 PM
the people have spoken, and they will continue to speak
2/3/2009 4:00:39 PM
i agree. i don't know where to go in the raleigh area except the carolina ale house
