I think that's kind of the point here. Larry Flynt is awesome for doing this. Can't get people to pay attention to the ass raping our gov't is performing on us? Throw porn into the mix and watch them line up to protest.

Not sure what the porn industry is gonna do in a decade or two. Right now there are still plenty of baby boomers that pay for their porn, but once they pass or get to old to remember to wank, they industry is gonna be hurtin'. I have met probably one person around my age who has actually purchased porn.

not to mention, there's a big difference between the number of people who have purchased porn and the number of people who have admitted to purchasing porn.

ALSO, porn is a very low budget busniess. you don't have to sell all that many copies of a video to make a tidy profit.

Gotta disagree, it is so freaking easy to get whatever type of porn you want to for free. I can't see the porn industry not losing some ground. You make it sound like one has to search high and low for the stuff, which you don't have to do.

They might be losing a bit of their profit, which isn't even the point of this whole "bailout" request, but it would be ridiculously difficult to bankrupt the porn industry. All you have to do it but a camera and pay someone a couple hundred bucks to fuck in front of it. It's not like there is some huge production cost to recoup here.
