5/5/2009 10:11:29 AM

5/5/2009 10:17:55 AM
El Cerro Grande on Avent Ferry. Just opened up the other day. 2.75 beers and 34 oz beers for a decent price.
5/5/2009 10:23:39 AM
I got to the El Dorado on the corner of Cary Parkway/High House Road ~1 time a week for lunch. The food is good and cheap with great daily specials. It's kind of a shit hole appearance wise, but would probably be great for Cinco de Mayo.[Edited on May 5, 2009 at 10:48 AM. Reason : cinqo de mayo, that's right]
5/5/2009 10:44:36 AM
I need margaritas.
5/5/2009 10:50:07 AM
what kind of mexican restaurant wouldn't have specials tonight?
5/5/2009 10:53:40 AM
El Rodeo is the old standby...I also personally like Torero's a lot, probably even more than Rodeo. (Speaking of which, their website says they have nine restaurants in NC and one in Erie, PA...WTF??)
5/5/2009 12:07:59 PM
there is also some discussion of some mexican places in this threadmessage_topic.aspx?topic=563347

5/5/2009 12:31:28 PM
haha, that would be badass with a spur on it.and i hate idiots that do that. it's like going to the saucer on a monday night and enjoying the standard bud light when all the other beers are on special.
5/5/2009 12:36:56 PM
There's this home-styled place on Capital Blvd (near the Comp USA or thereabouts) that I dig big time. The building is purple or blue and closer to the street than normal diners, you can't miss it.
5/5/2009 1:38:14 PM
We go to El Dorado every Tuesday night. The special then is $3 for 34 oz (1 liter) of Dos Equis.http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=el+dorado&sll=35.761347,-78.730427&sspn=0.011562,0.025835&ie=UTF8&ll=35.754941,-78.737984&spn=0.04625,0.10334&z=14&iwloc=A

^^^ & ^^^^I prefer the Garner Location at Forest Hills. But they are all owned by the same family. Each brother owns a restaurant.
5/5/2009 1:55:55 PM
That's cool, I didn't realize he had family that owned other restaurants. We could walk across the pedestrian bridge over US1 and be at the Tryon/Cary Pkwy location inside of 5 minutes though, and you can't beat that. Perfect for those nights when you've had too many Margaritas!!
5/5/2009 2:00:01 PM
