There isn't an official number, but its pretty high depending on where you work. But for example, where I work most people don't have a car so its a G/F, Cousin or Mama. The ones who have been around the block drive cars that aren't registered to them in an attempt to conceal their identity and/or activity.

Honestly, how mad would you be / what would your end response be in the following situation**:

You start to pull some guy over for speeding on the interstate... but when you're behind him, he speeds up. He goes to the very next exit, gets off, and immediately goes to the rest stop. You're still following him, and pretty pissed at this point that he didn't stop. You see him get out of his car at the rest stop, and make a mad dash for the restroom. Turns out that he just had to take a massive shit. He apologizes profusely from the bathroom stall...well, what you can make out of an apology in between BRAAAAAPS.

Too many factors to consider. Did he try to evade me or just trying to make it the bathroom? What time of the day is it? How fast was speeding? My first act would be to intercept him between the car and bathroom. If he makes it...the door is coming open. Your taking a legit shit? Well I'm gonna stand next to you and then we are going to have a discussion and you would probably hold paper.

If I have a CCP when you pull me over, does it earn any respect? Was riding with my previous boss, and he got pulled for speeding, and whipped out his license, bar card, and his CCP, and the cop told him "with this combination, I think I can let you off for speeding" Would you have done the same thing?

Do you ever turn the sirens on, just for fun, or just to scare someone?

Depends on the state but its about a 4 month basic school (some agencies add on).

No but most cops hate lawyers. Some lawyers are good at what they do and the cop sucks at what he does so he thinks that lawyers are out to get them. A good lawyer will really challenge you and in the end it doesn't matter because you are just suppose to tell the facts as you observed them. You do enough good work and the lawyer will avoid a trial at all costs.

Most CCP'ers are squared away so that goes in their favor. But I've written a few people for violations of their permit (i.e. DWI).

No, but I always feel like a jackass when I run lights and siren and the call gets canceled or another officer cancels you but you have already gone through like 3 intersections and everyone has gotten out of your way and now you just back in line like everyone else.
