^Greene strikes me as a scumbag, but I read The Power of Seduction and it was pretty interesting.

Gladwell is AWESOME - definitely on my short list of favorite writers. I read The Tipping Point a few years ago in college and again since. I just picked up A Clockwork Orange from the library. I haven't gotten very far, but it seems like a hard read because of the slang. Does it get easier to interpret once you read further?

I just don't want to have this thread degenerate into fights about the over- or underratedness of well-established classics, because it'll turn into a big mess, that's all.

Feel free to say you didn't like a book because of ___, ____ and ___, or that you hate Tucker Max when someone brings it up, but calling a book "overrated" brings up a bunch of side issues (not the least of which is that a book as well-established as Burgess's is rated highly for a reason).
