'rabbi says that should the Evangelical quarterback’s wins the Super Bowl for his team, Christians could use that as fuel to do 'insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants'

The "mic'd up" segment they showed on sunday of Tebow last week during the bears game was odd. He was singing hymns through a good portion of it..i guess that's how he gets mentally prepared?

Eh, I'm sure there are weirder songs than hymns that players use to get ready for a game.

This happened twice, not "through a good portion of it."

Wait, what? Can someone elaborate? He had knowingly had a mic on during the game, and at least twice, he was singing hymns?

Come on now, seriously, that's got to be for show. No one under 70 gets "pumped-up" by singing hymns, right? I thought most churches were into drums and guitars and rock music these days.

In case you haven't realized it already, Tebow's a different kind of cat.

At this point, I'd be more surprised if he didn't sing hymns on the sideline.

Its not like he's going to be bumping Young Jeezy.

"hymns" i guess wasn't the right word, they were contemporary christian songs. Not as far as christian rock, but he wasn't singing the battle hymn of the republic either.

I almost mentioned BHotR as a hymn someone might use to help keep psyched on the sidelines. It's got a good thumping rhythm and warlike imagery.

Everytime Tebow has lost this year he's won the next 6 games in his career.

How's that for an ESPN stat.

...except that Rivers threw for 385 yards and 4 touchdowns (well, 6 if you count the 2 that went the other way) against the Packers.

Leading his team into the playoffs!

6-22 and no tds = 19-22 and 3 tds for any other qb when you factor in his willpower and ability to inspire his defense.

some pretty shitty play calling by John Fox as well tonight. But then again, that's not new, he did stupid shit all the time with Carolina.

I believe in Tebow, the QB Almighty
maker of fumbles and INTs
And in the denver defense which carried his awful ass
who was conceived by the Josh McDaniel
born of the Urban Meyer
suffered under John Fox
was sacked, stripped, and fumbled
the third game he was dead and buried
he ascended into the playoffs
and sitteth at the right hand of Skip the Bayless Almighty
from thence he shall come to judge the abortions and circumcisions
I believe in the option offense
the hole-y defenses of bad teams
the communion of TAINTs
the forgiveness of sub 40% completions
the resurrection of kyle orton
and the scramble everlasting

amen

TIM TEBOW STINKS. PERIOD. Steelers are going to fuck them up, and eventually advance through Foxborough (bradys days of beating Lebeau's D are numbered)to play in SB46.

yeah, I'm sure the headline "TE-RRIBLE" is coming soon. I thought yesterday, a 7-3 game was sure to end up with a Tebow fourth quarter come from behind win. But there must be enough game tape now to show any team how to stifle this guy.

Seriously, those were some terrible throws in the 4th, hell almost all game. Tebow is a great guy, he's just not a quarterback.

I saw several throws where it was right in the receiver's numbers but they just couldn't catch it.

It wasn't a good game, not even close. It'll be interesting to see how he is next year, given the offseason to work on shit with Elway.

^that's because while the ball is in the right place occasionally, it's hardly ever in a tight spiral

Quote :
"Tebow is a great guy, he's just not a (NFL) quarterback."

He's not a pocket passer, period. Takes forever in the pocket and isn't accurate enough to throw in the tight windows of the NFL. Hence why a lot of his completions are in the 4th quarter when the secondary relaxes a bit and most completions are long balls in dropped coverage.

#28 - Passer Rating
#34 - Yards per Game
#28 - Yards per Attempt
#27 - TDs (tied with Blaine Gabbert)
#34 - Longest Pass (56 yards)
#32 - Total Yards
#34 - Completion Percentage
#34 - Total Completions
#30 - Total Attempts

Highlights:
3rd lowest in INTs
#28 - Total Yards for a Running Back (more yardage than Ahmad Bradshaw)

Let's just say there's room for improvement.

Big Ben is going to be playing hurt so he won't have as easy of a time brute forcing his way out of sacks.
Pittsburgh's running game has taken a hit with the loss of Mendenhall.

Will it be enough for the Denver defense to, again, make Tebow look like a hero?

My curiosity is almost enough for me to want to see the game, but it's going to be an ugly ugly game.
