^^^^^I get the argument you're trying to make but there are clear things that constitute blackmail material. Sexual affairs are legit forms of blackmail. Knowing that someone is cheating on their diet and threatening to tell their doctor is not. It really comes down to what threatens a person's power and stature.

Whataboutism isn't about comparing and contrasting similar situations. Whataboutism is about distraction and redirection. Trump brought Bill's accusers to a debate with Hillary because he wanted the distraction of spectacle and not because he wanted a fair minded debate on similarities between his and Bill's situations.

Trump's actions stand on their own and should be judged on their own merits.

Doubtful. Doesn’t have the stomach for it thankfully. He wouldn’t want to have to visit troops in a dangerous region.

Also, we are inching closer to a sex tape that no one anywhere wants to see..

It's more likely she or her lawyer has recorded phone calls AFTER the hush money was paid. Then again, DJT has a proclivity to be both a cheapskate, as well as not paying people we he owes them. Not many people thought Trump was going to win, and if he lost, she probably would've gotten $0.

The 40% of the country that supports him? They will surely start rubbing it in people's (brown, black, immigrants, Muslims, etc) faces, and even weave it into their graphic insults.

OK, not all of them, as some are "God fearing" Christians who wouldn't speak dirty like that, but the rest, for sure.

"In 2007 the Postal Service and its regulator determined that, at a minimum, 5.5% of the agency’s fixed costs must be allocated to packages and similar products. A decade later, around 25% of its revenue comes from packages, but their share of fixed costs has not kept pace. First-class mail effectively subsidizes the national network, and the packages get a free ride. An April analysis from Citigroup estimates that if costs were fairly allocated, on average parcels would cost $1.46 more to deliver. It is as if every Amazon box comes with a dollar or two stapled to the packing slip—a gift card from Uncle Sam."

I imagine its in a countries self interest to have a delivery service not connected to private interests. Say, if china bought UPS and FedEx.

The study was inherently flawed. Postal Service is broke because it has to prepay pensions, something no other agency or company does

https://www.wsj.com/articles/immigration-judges-face-new-quotas-in-bid-to-speed-deportations-1522696158?mod=breakingnews

Sessions putting the squeeze on immigration judges to churn through cases more quickly

Obama actually managed to remove more people than trump did because Obama ordered his people to focus on cases of criminal immigrants whose cases were clear cut. Trump has been clogging the courts with immigrants that haven’t done anything wrong and his solution seems to be to force judges to render decisions more haphazardly

Pretty dystopian tactic

Ironically this this could have the effect is the judges just giving people benefit of the doubt and letting them stay.

This sounds like total BS. Even when you ignore border patrol arrests, Obama deported far more immigrants than Trump. You're telling me the 34,000/mo he deported in 2012 were all criminals? And there was already a huge backlog. You don't need to whitewash Obama's garbage record to make Trump look worse.

I read an article recently about judges using some extension loophole to allow people to stay indefinitely, which is awesome.

Ha that’s the exact article I was thinking of, this is the line I was referring to:

Quote :
"Soon after being sworn in, Trump signed an order greatly broadening the universe of people who could be targeted for deportation. In the next 100 days, immigration arrests rose by nearly 38 percent compared with the same period a year earlier."

Ice was committing a lot of atrocities under obama too, but it’s a true statement that their mandate on who to target was far narrower than trump, and it’s tRumps policies clogging the court systems that’s slowing deportations.

it has everything to do with bezos. hes using the wapo to gain political leverage for his monopoly that is consuming every aspect of retail.

regardless of how trump arrives at it, hes on the right side of a concept that has killed our future. those markets should all be small businesses

What monopoly do you think Amazon has? You know that small business owners can market and sell their items through Amazon, right? I don't see WalMart or Target giving small businesses that opportunity.

wat. they pay sales taxes, no? what is the not enough? trump said it directly, "they pay little or no taxes..." amazon pays the legally required amount of sales taxes. are you referring to city sales taxes? cause that I don't know about.

But still, all coming from a man who says it's smart to not pay a "fair share". From a man who probably has financial teams to reduce his taxes.
