I kind of wish Drain Soul became a DoT that you could cast on people before killing them so shard farming in BG was more viable. As it stands, the purple beam is like a hunters mark for Warriors and rogues to come run train on a warlock.

Pure destruction is very fun in BG. Especially for warlocks with the trinkets since they do near +500 damage with the right gear.

go the Dire Maul route... there's a lot better gear than the Devout Set. And btw, the +55 healing enchant is to a weapon, not bracers; the bracer one is only +24 healing. The mana regen is only +4 mp/5 secs. Right now I've only got blues on my priest (except for a crafted Hide of the Wild), and I have about +318 healing and +35mp/5sec; if I need mana regen for a long boss fight, I can swap gear to give about +75mp/5 sec and +125 healing. Much better than what you'll find from the devout set, which is mostly only good for regenning mana between fights (lots of +spi) or using a piece or two for the +spi if you're in a situation with healing rotations.

If you go for heavy mana regen or healing gear, your mana pool is going to suffer a bit, so I use Magiskull Cuffs instead of the Devout Bracers; there aren't any good +mana or +heal bracers, really, so the cuffs having +17 int instead of +10 on the devout helps make up the loss of +int on some of your +heal pieces. I also sometimes use a Magister's Crown for this (+30 int) in situations where I need more MP than healing, since the Crimson Felt Hat (+30 dmg/heal) only has +8 int.

for those of you that wall-walk, is it just me, or is it much easier to do this with a Tauren over any other race? I was playing around with a dwarf and an orc today and couldn't hardly do it at all. My tauren can go damn near anywhere though.

OK, time to make a post regarding the Stein/Golovko/SandSanta argument

first of all, purple reign does not suck at pvp. We have 5 capped teams in 3 minutes. We have beat alliance teams in ABs 2000/0. We have 3-4 lieutentnant generals, some working on general. We kicked a High Warlord from the guild.

You might get pissed because PR doesnt join your "mortalis elite group" but it is far, far, far from elite, which is probably why people like loderunner who on average get stats of 50 kills and maybe 5 deaths in an AB because he rapes evertything that walks with his fully epic pvp gear decide to do their own thing

im sorry Mark but your team is not some kind of elite pvp guild who owns every group you go against, i admit any time im in a group with mortalis they are very disciplined on how to win games, defend well and coordinate things well, but saying you guys can go up against the myths fury A team and win is a complete joke, those guys rape everyone and even groups like VXIX, Aftermath and Keen Formation get stomped because those guys pvp all day with all the best gear you can get, legendary weapons and epic pvp and pve sets

you, like most people, probably recognized one good name from Myths Fury and thought you were up against their permagroup. Just the other day i was in a 15 man VXIX group and still lost to the myths fury A team 3 games in a row, score being around 1600/2000 each game, we put up a damn good fight

ive inspected you all, and half of your members have greens and some blues, nothing to brag about.. Farrudar is a great buy and a champion in pvp, but still nothing to brag about

if you want to be able to brag about pvp, join a raiding guild and get geared out with epics and start destroying people, or have all your members hit warlord and have some epics, then you can realize what it means to own

I also whole heartedly agree with your assesment of the situation. MF-A and MF-B guys are no joke and they thoroughly waxed us last night three games out of five. The two games we did manage to win, we had a lot of good ranking horde in our group including Nissassa and eighthdragon.

^^^we've already had this discussion about Purple Reign. You've informed me that a lot of these guys that had the bad attitute and what not have been removed from the guild. I don't have a problem with PR but only a small handfull of its members when it comes to AB. I don't care how l337 someone thinks they are. If they are in a AB they owe it to everyone in there to join the same raid. Its really pointless to have 2 raids or to have one or two guys solo.

Shadowrunner thanks for the advice. I got my last devout piece yesterday. I put +100 to chest, +150 to legs (plan on doing the same to head), 24 healing to bracers, 5 spirit to boots, and my argent crusader has 22 intel to it.

going to MC tomorrow, so we'll see how the healing goes, i'm stoked about it though

^^cool dude, congrats on getting the full set good luck with the MC run!

right now i'm at 6/8 devout without trying to collect any of them, i've just been the only priest on runs where they drop just missing the mantle b/c no one ever wants to do the father flame event, and the robe.

one other thing you might want to consider, especially for longer battles like boss fights in MC... look into getting two or three good staves to rotate during fights. i've got +22 int on my argent crusader as well, but then once you cast a few spells and use some of the bonus mana, try to get a +heal staff like Rod of the Ogre Magi to help with healing. then once you're out of mana, switch to a staff with a lot of spirit (i use Dancing Sliver with +20 spi on it, from a quest series in Scholo, but a Soulkeeper is also pretty good and fairly cheap) to help get your mana pool back up. that way, you can fully take advantage of +22 int, +55 healing, and +20 spi enchants.

Most of the people in my guild were using Dancing Silver with +spirit enchant on it during Nefarian. I consider it an end-game staff because the only thing better is Will of Arlokk.

As for the other two, if you can afford the enchants more power to you. Anything to help out your guild seems cool to me.

plus, i have a 300 enchanter, so getting mats for things isn't too tough. and seriously, if you're an enchanter, you get asked to put all kinds of crazy shit on people's gear; anything on lvl 55+ items, even if it's not an "end-game" item, pales in comparison to some of the things people pay you to do. i've lost track of how many times i've put +15 agi or crusader on some level 29 twink who wants to rock the battlegrounds.

i've also started keeping a list of all the +15 agi's i sell to unguilded 60 rogues and hunters that can't speak english. at first i was conflicted about selling them to farmers, but then i realized i could mark the price up by 25g and didn't feel so bad anymore.
