karazhan is already set to be a 4 wing (or 3 wing) instance like dire maul, with 3 of the wings being 5 man only, and the final wing being 40man, very high difficulty.

Game content is designed around both 5 and 40 man groups as you stated, Mawle, but the really good equipment is dropped for players that put the most time and effort into it. Think about it for a second, if a 5 man instance dropped purples why would anyone run MC or BWL for five hours? Furthermore, what sort of content would the game offer hardcore players if any causual player could gain the same level of equipment for much less effort?

The game design is also constantly evolving and I'm sure the 10-15 man instances will drop gear and loot that is better then MC and BWL gear but I fully expect the new 40 man instances to drop loot that is godly compared to anything else. For casual players, the world is being designed to be immersive and fun but for hardcore players the world is being designed to increase player talents and abilities for the final showdown with Arthas.

Now, you could make a point about PVP heavily favoring those that are geared well and I would fully agree. The PVP honor system needs be designed in such a way that people who put 2-3 hrs a day into it will be fully rewarded with excellent pvp gear and abilities. The current system requires you to simply play more then the guy who plays the most. Thats critically faulted in obvious ways. Hopefully they address this issue.

i'm not asking for equivalent gear to the epic sets... but i've hit a point where green gloves are the best i have found so far...

he only blue drop that's better than what i have are from killing the Emissary in Silithus which, again, takes 30 or so people... and PuGs don't usually get the job done...

and i don't see where it makes sense for green gloves to be the best i can find at 60...

There's nothing wrong with green gear being the best for certian things.

As it stands now, for PVP, mix-matching different gear generally nets you the best possible combination. Being purple or blue doesn't make a difference so long as the item stats are superior. I mean, if you want the super rare stuff that you have to join a raiding guild and work for it. That mirrors reality, I don't understand what the issue is here.

If there was a 5-man instance that takes 5 or more hours to complete, even a 5-man instance with a 1-week cooldown that takes 2 or 3 nights, I would be so there. It's just easier for me to get 4 other guildies to give it a shot than it would be for me to get 39 other guildies, because I just don't have that many 60's in my guild.

Yea I agree with you. I'd rather have a few VERY hard 5 man instances that required teamwork and skill and took hours with great drops. If I'm to understand what blizzard said lately, they are working on creating more content in that vein. ZG and AQ20 are pretty good examples of this. Both instances have bosses that need to be approached in a certain way rather then straight up PEW PEW and as a result are pretty difficult to learn. If they continue making instances like that, I think we'll have lots of fun content.

Been wrecking mad shit in WSG (double honor today) with my Bonereaver's Edge. Haven't lost a single BG game tonight for 3 hours.

As for my clanmate, he started today with ~600k honor, his 90% to Grand Marshall. He needs rank 1 or 2 to get it for sure next Tuesday, some other guy on alliance is only 100k behind him so his making sure his gona get rank 1 this week. His done about 200k honor so far today.

good deal. i just finished the day with 108K honor myself, without a guild. just ran with a group of 4 or 5 friends all day. we won about as much as most good guilds do and actually BEAT the uber alliance guild on our server 3-1.

the only thing holding me back from getting closer to 200K honor today would be being with a guild that wins *fast*
